I'm posting this piece as a warning. This cheese throwing thing is a big deal. It's more widespread than we imagine.
About a week ago, I was stopped at a light. I heard something hit the driver's side front window. When I looked, I saw two squares that looked like American cheese slices. I was slightly worried, thinking there might be some sort of new fangled weapon out there that resembles cheese.
You have to admit this year has been so crazy that anything can happen.
I got home a few minutes later and had a chance to look closer before opening the door. It was indeed cheese, I decided, so I peeled it off.
I thought perhaps the people stopped in the car in the lane to my left had just gotten through a drive thru restaurant and were upset that the sandwich they ordered had cheese when they asked for it without and reacted to this immaturely by removing the cheese and flinging it out the window, not caring where it ended up.
I did hear laughing when it happened, but figured the immature idiots just thought it was funny that the cheese landed on my car.
Today I come to learn from my S.O. that within the past week two co-workers reported going out to their cars to find slices of cheese on them. One friend did not know about the cheese on time to prevent it from melding to the vehicle and causing damage.
So I guess with everything else that is going on we have to walk around our cars and inspect them for cheese.
Moose. Sister.
Blessed are the cheese flingers.
I hope it was real cheese, and not individually wrapped slices.
I googled it. There’s only one Bonner County. It’s in Idaho.
Idaho?
What pasteurized fresh hell is this!
This story has vindicated me. Because I have long advocated for common-sense cheese control.
1. No one under 21 should be able to buy cheese.
2. No one convicted of any dairy-related crime should be able to buy - or possess - cheese.
3. Cheese should be sold in blocks only. Cutting cheese into throwable slices should be a Class A felony.
There was some STUPID thing about throwing a slice of cheese on your baby’s FACE!!! I saw some videos on FAX! What mother would do that?
What's the charge, officer?
Assault with a Dairy Weapon!
Ping.
Bonner County is in North Idaho, God’s country and heavily Republican.
