They have to detain him as they acquire basic facts. I have little doubt he’ll be released without any charges unless stuff happened before the video starts that shows any criminal activity on his part.

From the videos - start to finish - he is a victim trying to get away to safety. Nothing more. That video makes prosecution of any sort pretty darned difficult.

The police who are defending the BLM and Antifa types are making themselves viewed as enemies to the patriots. I suspect that if they continue to defend Antifa and arrest regular citizens defending themselves soon they won’t have the support of either side. Should the SHTF I fear that these same cops will be viewed as valid targets ... of both sides. My suggestion to these cops ... you better pick a side before its picked for you.
