Someone wrote that there was a code on the return envelope that said whether the voter was a Republican or Democrat.

Remember....the Postal Service has endorsed Biden.

No code needed really, the zip code is probably enough.

The postal carriers union has endorsed byeDUHn/hVrris. The actual carriers...........who knows. One of my brothers-in-law was a teamster for years and toed the line. Now retired and thinking for himself he has changed his tune. He even sent us some pics of the wall of thank you letters from the PDJT election team. And swears he voted for Trump last election as well. Thank the Lord! And pass the ammo. :-)

Not arguing but clarifying;
1) Someone wrote that there was a code on the return envelope that said whether the voter was a Republican or Democrat.
ANS) This identification is only legal & valid in CLOSED PRIMARIES, where the Parties are choosing their own candidates!

2) "the Postal Service has endorsed Biden".
ANS) While dangerously close, it is The National Association of Letter Carriers Union, not the US Postal Service (USPS) itself that endorsed the Democratic Candidate, Joe Biden.

FYI: For my fellow FLORIDA FReepers, Amendment 3 on our 2020 General Election is FOR AN OPEN PRIMARY and can lead to the California style single party general election!

Ballot summary: Allows all registered voters to vote in primaries for state legislature, governor, and cabinet regardless of political party affiliation. All candidates for an office, including party nominated candidates, appear on the same primary ballot. Two highest vote getters advance to the general election. If only two candidates qualify, no primary is held and the winner is determined in the general election. Candidate’s party affiliation may appear on the ballot as provided by law. Effective Jan. 1, 2024.
