Originally, I took it as a given that Romney would side with the Dems, just like he did during impeachment. But I think there is a difference in Utah between opposing Trump, who isn’t particularly popular there, and torpedoing a conservative, pro-life Supreme Court pick.

The deals have already been made, probably months ago, in anticipation. Everything now is theater -> some of it based on a true story, some not.
But I think the proper way to view any news is as theater if it's not an unforeseeable event.
