There was an old joke about “siberian peach pie”. The joke was that it went on and on and on and on, repetitively, and the punch line was intentionally not funny at all.
The joke is that you got them to listen for so long for no reason. If only I could have peppered it with ads. I’d have made a fortune. :)

If we did away with tax deductibility for shrinkage losses, I think a lot more retailers would take shoplifting far more seriously.

Agree. I assumed that “spectacular” was just hyperbole but as it turns out, so was the word “backfire”.

Apparently her point of view is black folks should be allowed to empty the store of whatever they want. I can’t get any other message. Just can not wrap my mind around that.

Those people are so annoying. I had cancer and attended one support group meeting. Immediately, I realized these women glory and wallow in their cancer-survivor status. It’s their whole identity. I vowed I’d NEVER be that way, even post-mastectomy. Maybe I’m wrong, and I guess the issue does need advocates for fund raising, but ... the mindset is my problem.
Tragic how lawless it really has become here.
Employees stand by and watch as shoplifters argue amongst themselves over who gets to steal what.
The employees just shrug their shoulders. There's nothing they can do. The cops aren't coming. Shoplifting has been legalized if you are black. If they try to stop it, they'll be the ones going to jail.
The security guard seems only to be intervening to protect them from each other.
