Just another day in San Francisco, with mentally challenged drug addicts being among the few using the streets and parks of the Paris of the Pacific.
Jaded city residents have become so accustomed to strange human sights they hardly shrug, but it's become so bad that the mostly liberal inhabitants are starting to turn on their progressive leaders.
@SFGotham, an independent researcher who exposes the city's crime, corruption and policy failures on Twitter, saw something this week that made the crusader look twice.
"Junkie on a skateboard carrying a mattress while smoking meth? Just another day in SF!" he mused on Twitter.
Unfortunately, such human tragedies have become more common place as of late, as lockdowns destroy the economy and the city pools its few resources on failing mega-million-dollar poverty industrial complex spends.
One horrified parent reported the following at a city park:
"My kid wanted to ride scooter today in Yerba Buena Park and Playground. We saw there a half-naked woman, vagrants and used needle in seedbed," tweeted photographer Patrick Dlesk this week.
"The city is overrun by junkies. Mayor doesn’t care about downtown kids and their well-being."
A target of the revolting and revolted residents is Supervisor Matt Haney of District 6, which includes the Tenderloin, easily the hardest hit area by drugs and homelessness.
They accuse the self described urbanist and populist of virtue signaling on global issues while ignoring the disintegration of the city.
"Your you're a failure. Trying to cure climate change and transportation issues? In your district, there's a half naked woman in a kid's playground, plus a bunch of people shooting up and leaving their needles everywhere," thundered Chron 4 and City Journal reporter Erica Sandberg.
"Start there and don't leave 'till you fix it," added Sandberg, who did an exposé on the city's well meaning but destructive "harm reduction" program that hands out drug paraphernalia to people on the street.
Be careful with this one. I got some flashing indication asking if I wanted to allow a program to make changes to my system.
Children should see what socialism, in reality, looks like.

I have immediate family in the area that I haven’t visited in a year. Not sure if I’ll ever go back.
It was horrible last time I went, there are homeless everywhere, some of them very aggressive - one yelled racial taunts at us. We couldn’t visit the beautiful parks w/o being accosted for money. Some look dangerous, mentally ill or drug addled.
And, they have more rights than YOU do.
I’d rather spend my hard-earned dollars somewhere else, where I can walk in peace without having to watch my back, where I step or have an aggressive, loud pan handler in my face screaming obscenities or racial threats.
Told my daughter if she wishes to visit, she’s going to have to do it in my home.

What I saw when I was in SF was akin to child abuse. I saw a group of school children on some kind of walk somewhere having to go past loud, aggressive homeless. I was frightened for them and shocked that a school would allow this.
Yes, they are getting a first-hand look at what socialism looks like. They are especially learning that drug-addled, mentally ill, dangerous homeless who poop openly in the streets and shoot up drugs in plain site (we have seen this) have more rights than YOU do.
The guy has skills.
And he votes.
Democrat.
Every time.
Many times, very many times every election.
I’ll put it on my bucket list.
That’s what I get for hesitating for even a few seconds over Florida Man vs. Floridaman vs. Florida man. Serves me right.
