What I saw when I was in SF was akin to child abuse. I saw a group of school children on some kind of walk somewhere having to go past loud, aggressive homeless. I was frightened for them and shocked that a school would allow this.
Yes, they are getting a first-hand look at what socialism looks like. They are especially learning that drug-addled, mentally ill, dangerous homeless who poop openly in the streets and shoot up drugs in plain site (we have seen this) have more rights than YOU do.
