The liberal media are again peddling their anti-men-drinking-alcohol schtick. This time, The Washington Post pushed a very flawed government report recommending men should only have one drink a day.

“This leaves more for me.”

If you don’t mind paying the hugely increasing taxes. Why do you think they put this out?

Two sentences.
Well done.

No hidden motivation there, nope, not at all.

What do you use your click money for?

The report could easily be flawed in study design, stats, etc., but there’s nothing wrong with having just one drink or fewer. President Trump gets by just fine with zero.

Personally, I don’t like the feeling of intoxication any longer. I decided that about the age of 37. I spent a week getting blasted with a Jewish neighbor, and I woke up one day and told myself that I’d had my share and everyone else’s, too, for about 50 years.

So, I’ll have an occasional drink, but beyond that I just crave personal control more.

But, it was a personal decision, and I think that’s what you’re saying.

How could a beer drinking thread ever be wrong? I was called by my local VA hospital and chastised about drinking a six pack every now and then. I sarcastically asked her if she had a prostate. Flows like a river, lol. I almost told her to blow me like you know me.

I have noticed the left is really starting to ramp up a war on alcohol the same way they did smoking. I think the lawyers are getting all setup to sue “big alcohol”. Seems like many of the people in the left I know are becoming damn near prohibitionist regarding alcohol. Will be interesting to watch this further.

My personal theory is that the benefits of moderate consumption are 2-fold, plus, for wine, some of the its ingredients.

Benefit one is the cleaning effect of alcohol - it’s a great solvent for junk in one’s blood.

Benefit two is the temporarily, but very significant, lowering of blood pressure (due to capillary dilation). You’re basically giving your heart a vacation for hours at a time...which it obviously appreciates.

Newsbusters logic:

The Trump administration issues dietary guidelines that Newsbusters think are flawed.

WaPo reports on the new guidance.

Ergo, liberal bias!

Normal drinking recommendations in public health are two drinks for men and one for women. I have no idea if that is true or accurate, and don’t really care, but I just had to take a license renewal test that used that standard as an answer

Two drinks is normal prior to dinner, two after is good, and then two more before the original two.
