The hostility to honoring the intent of the founders to keep foreign influence out of the Oval Office here on Free Republic has been a bit of surprise to me.
I just saw a clip on Michelle Malkin’s show on Newsmax of Ted Cruz denouncing the Proud Boys as racists and bigots, feeding the narrative of the left to make himself look good and throwing allies under the bus.
Ted is all about Ted.
Texas can keep him in the Senate if they want.
I don’t want him anywhere near the court or White House.
Actually he is out of his depth in the senate but would do well as a constitutionalist on the Supreme Court.
How does he not know what natural born citizen means if he is such a constitutionalist?

The resolution passed in the Senate declaring McCain a natural born citizen cited his TWO citizen parents as the reason he was eligible even though born in Panama.
The GOP went along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation because they had a stable full of up and coming ineligibles, Cruz, Jindal, Rubio, Haley and most importantly George P. Bush.

There are some guys on here who have CDS (Cruz Derangement Syndrome). If Trump and Cruz have come to peace, why can’t some of you toward him. He would be great on the Supreme Bench, although I hate losing his voice in the Senate.
And by the way, he’s not Cuban. he’s not Canadian. He’s an American! He may or may not possess the Constitutional qualifications for President (many scholars disagree) but he is just as American as those of you who throw out nasty statements about him!

It’s not about CDS for me. There was a lot to criticize Cruz for in 2016, but not wanting him on the Supreme Court has nothing to do with that. He is an American citizen, but is not a natural born citizen, and yet he believed he was Constitutionally qualified to serve as president. So much for Ted the originalist.
For the most part Cruz has been a good ally of Trump’s since he was elected, but he needs to be kept on a short leash. The 2016 campaign revealed how easily Cruz is willing to compromise his conservative ‘principles’ if it serves his personal ambitions. Besides his distinctly un-originalist views on natural born citizenship, he also has argued in the past that birth right citizenship is essentially written in stone and can’t be eliminated without an amendment to the Constitution. I’m not sure but I believe he may have backtracked from that position since Trump was elected, but either way it demonstrates questionable Constitutional interpretation on his part and just goes to show how his positions on constitutionality are easily swayed by politics.

Of course. Who would actually have the nerve to say Odungo wasn’t eligible? I mean the first Zebra NOT BLACK POTUS? One of the biggest frauds ever.....but I do have to question McLame....he was born in Panama I know BUT his father was in the service to American parents. Wouldn’t that automatically make him an American citizen? Not arguing with you, just want to know whether it’s true.......;)

Watching Ted on Maria’s show, touting his new book on the ‘Constitution’. Watching to see IF he speaks about ‘original intent’ for ‘natural born’ citizenship.
Cruz just declared he does NOT want to be a Supreme Court judge... he wants to stay political...
He still wants his own usurpation.
Ted is all ambition.
He is a loser. Lion Ted is a Canadian, Cuban, and most recently in American. He’s not a natural born citizen, is not suitable for the supreme court, probably not for local dogcatcher. It is really a shame that people want to continue shilling for him.
You sure are filled with some kind of hate for Cruz. Let it go! He is not a Canadian or Cuban. Cruz is an American, PERIOD! And as for loser, he has won the U.S. Senate seat from the great state of Texas twice. What elections have you won? Cruz and Trump have learned to get along and work together. Lay aside the hate and understand that we are all on the same team. We are all on the Trump team and internal snipping doesn't help anyone except the Dems!
