Steve Nash was named the new head coach of the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday morning. The announcement was unexpected, to say the least.
Nash, 46, has no head coaching experience. This prompted many to wonder if Brooklyns decision to immediately put him at the helm of a championship contender featuring Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving was race-related.
ESPN NBA insider Stephen A. Smith literally made that case during Thursdays episode of First Take.
This is one of the toughest positions Ive ever had to take, Smith said on the air.
Ladies and gentlemen, theres no way around this. This is white privilege. This does not happen for a Black man.

Meh.
And obama never had a non government job before.
Steve Nash might not have any coaching experience, but he has experience as a point guard, anchoring winning teams including winning the MVP two times.
There have been NBA players who became coaches without previous coaching experience before. Jason Kidd comes to mind, Larry Bird was another.
Funny how blacks are making a case for separate but equal.
They’d gladly take over the NFL, NBA and make it exclusively for blacks. Trouble is, about 95%+ of fans are white.
I don’t really understand, but the fact is that most blacks aren’t really into professional sports as viewers.
All I can say is...”have it all”... all televised sports are now dead to me. I’ve found much better things to do with my time. In 2-3 years, these leagues will have permanently lost 75% of their audience, rendering them unprofitable. Something new will fill the void of Americans and it’s not going to be watching tv sports.
and this unknown coach named Michael Jordan.................
I may be mistaken, but Nash may be the first Canadian NBA Coach.
Mark Levin is friends with him.
It probably was. Everything today is racists or White Privilege. I don’t know what wither one are.The only people
i saw getting preferential treatment were Black.
Nobody will be watching, so “the point is moot!”
Look at Phil Jackson’s road to becoming an NBA Coach, think he had “White Privilege”?
In the years immediately following the end of his playing career, Jackson coached in professional leagues like the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and Puerto Rico’s National Superior Basketball (BSN). While in the CBA, he won his first coaching championship, leading the Albany Patroons to their first title in 1984. Jackson was named the CBA Coach of the Year in 1985.[16] In Puerto Rico, he coached the Piratas de Quebradillas (1984 and 1987) and the Gallitos de Isabela (19841986). He regularly sought NBA jobs, but was turned down.
Not that I care, but does Nash have any history with some of the Nets’ “star” players? If he’s worked with them in the past, that could be part of the reason he was hired now.
No “white privilege” involved. But “Screamin’ A Smith” and the rest of the Mickey Mouse Sports mouths have to make everything about race or sex or some other SJW crap.
Thanks, Jesse!
Perhaps you failed to read the article. Barkley is on our side on this one.
Isiah Thomas.
Barkley used to be good friends with Rush Limbaugh.
I think he sometimes has to say things to keep his career though. But for the most part he is fairly conservative.
Last I heard, Clyde Drexler was black
air.
Ladies and gentlemen, theres no way around this. This is white privilege. This does not happen for a Black man.
THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN FOR A BLACK MAN??????
What basketball court is this guy playing in?
Terry Porter. Geez...I dont even follow the NBA.
