Like anything else we cannot reason anything out without God. This is ultimately why Marxism is a lie. Try and reason anything out, without God, and it is imperfect at best, which is a lie. We can indeed rationalize out, with the help of God, nations and national identity as God separated a people from his own creation for himself, a nation called Israel. We can also reason out for ourselves our family from which we sprung as our own nation, which is where nations arise from.
How about let's just let people have open and honest conversations on the role of government without fear of reprisal?

Long established governments shouldn’t be changed for small or temporary reasons.
People will normally put up with a lot before they tear what they are used to.
Indeed. Which is why secular enlightenment ALWAYS leads to the Marxist/proto-marxist oppressor verses oppressed conflict. By reason alone, the very meanings of liberty, freedom and justice are changed or conflated such that they become self-contradictory.

The DemonicRats cannot, at this point, separate themselves from the Commies. They are completely incapable of doing it because they are blinded by the thought of finally vanquishing us (conservatives) once and for all. Therefore, they are willing and are throwing their lot in with the Marxists.
This will either end in Civil War II or conservatives will also fade away like the DemonicRats and give in without a fight.
Sadly, the DemonicRats have boxed the US into a corner, and it will end poorly for all of us.
The trouble is, there is no such thing as a society in which everyone is free and equal in all ways. Even in a liberal society, there will always be countless ways in which a given class or group may be unfree or unequal with respect to the others. And since this is so, Marxists will always be able to say that some or all of these instances of unfreedom and inequality are instances of oppression.

Either the Marxists perpetrate the mass murder in order to achieve their irrational ideals or we end up killing all of them to eradicate the madness. No matter how you slice it, it’s not going to end well.
Ironically, I also think that modern information technology (especially cheap computers, smart phones, the Internet and social media) ended up aiding and spreading Marxism a lot more than anyone ever imagined.

All one needs to know where we are heading is Nancy Pelosi’s line “enemies of the state.”. Her children and/or grandchildren will eventually become enemies of the state. She is too blinded by power and ambition to see it.

Allow me to cut to the chase. In a civilized country established and governed under the rule of law, there is one and only one legal and rational way to deal with any form of criminal activity and that is to arrest and prosecute anyone who violates the laws of the land. Failure to do so is to acquiesce in the destruction of the country.
