Kenosha’s Democrat mayor has been there for years. It’s on him, not on Trump, nor on Trump voters.
As soon as the subject bent over inside the vehicle ,all bets were off. He completely disregarded the police at scene. The officer just has to articulate ,that he felt he now in danger of imminent bodily harm. Case law on that.
> But hey, the Democrats and media managed to turn George Floyd into a saint who deserved 5 funerals over a span of 9 days, and most Americans bought it even though Floyd had a rap sheet as long as your arm and was a serial woman abuser.
Dont forget and had taken a likely lethal amount of fentanyl and said I cant breath before he was taken to the ground.
As soon as the subject bent over inside the vehicle ,all bets were off. He completely disregarded the police at scene. I am fully supportive of police. I have no special knowledge of this event other than what I saw on the video clip.
But, looked at with blank slate eyes, this looks bad. Not as in a “bad shoot,” but just in the eyes of an already jaded public. (This, even knowing the subject had complete safety in his own hands, had he simply followed police directives.)
He was just reaching for his mask?????
The way this incident is being reported in the Mainstream Media is itself an incitement to riot.
Should we only hire psychics to serve as police officers from now on? I suppose so, because the way this story is being framed the cop was supposed to somehow know that this guy who was going for his vehicle in spite of repeated tasings and orders to stop was not reaching for a weapon.
Watch THIS VIDEO
Same situation. Resisting....taser not working....makes it back to car...procures gun (probably stolen).....tries to kill everyone on site. Good shoot IMHO. You NEVER let a detained person return to their car in a hostile manner.
Compare this to the encounter in Georgia:

Guns involved. No shooting. No riots.
Must not have been in an election year.
They really need to make Chris Rock’s video required viewing in bad neighborhood schools. This guy would have been shot if he was white. As usual, it’s his actions, not his color, that led to the shooting.
How not to get shot by the police.
1. STOP DOING ILLEGAL SHIT!
2. OBEY THE POLICE! When they say stop, you freaking stop! Don’t keep going to get into your car or go into your house (where there is possibly a gun or so you can drive over the cops).
3. DON’T RUN FROM COPS! They hate chasing your ass down. If you make them, you piss them off and at very least you are going to get body slammed to the ground.
4. DO NOT EVER, EVER REACH FOR SOMETHING THAT MIGHT BE MISTAKEN FOR A GUN! The cop often cannot see what you are reaching for be it a cell phone or pacifier for the baby. Don’t even ask to reach for something. Cops deal with criminals all day, this makes them jumpy at times.
There’s an old Chris Rock(?) sketch along these lines that I remember was pretty funny.
From the what I could see of the video, when the guy gets into the car, it mirrors the George Floyd arrest body cam. In that video, the officer drew his sidearm only because Floyd did not obey his order and continued to reach for something in the car. When Floyd showed him his hands, he holstered his weapon.
“As soon as the subject bent over inside the vehicle ,all bets were off. He completely disregarded the police at scene. The officer just has to articulate ,that he felt he now in danger of imminent bodily harm. Case law on that.”
There were three cops on the scene, they could have tasered him or physically restrained him. To shoot an unarmed man in the back is unjustifiable. What case law are you referring to?
Why not shoot him in the legs when he was in front of his car?
Looks like media is suppressing this as a headline this morning because it will lead to more Trump support. As in “the rest of the story”, stories now including Floyd, are coming out in the open. Winning!
The GOP needs to recognize this phenomena for what it is and adopt an effective, constitutional response while there yet time.
This understatement from the article:
Tragically, the man was shot in front of his screaming children.
America needs a national forum that would promptly announce:
"Tragically, the man was shot while strenuously resisting arrest, all in full view of his children." (That is what most viewers saw.)
It doesn't help, of course, when the President just a few days ago refers to the "murder of GF", and VP refers to the "killing of GF".
