The College Fix reports that a subcommittee within the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), which is itself part of the National Council of Teachers of English, is demanding that American teachers “abolish standard English” (aka, “White Mainstream English”).
We DEMAND that:
teachers stop using academic language and standard English as the accepted communicative norm, which reflects White Mainstream English!
teachers stop teaching Black students to code-switch! Instead, we must teach Black students about anti-Black linguistic racism and white linguistic supremacy!
political discussions and praxis center Black Language as teacher-researcher activism for classrooms and communities!
teachers develop and teach Black Linguistic Consciousness that works to decolonize the mind (and/or) language, unlearn white supremacy, and unravel anti-Black linguistic racism!
Black dispositions are centered in the research and teaching of Black Language!

Screw that far less than ten percent of our college students are black and most of them know how to speak proper English.
The world does not change to make up for the badly educated blacks whom affirmative action shoves off on the colleges even though they are not prepared to study and succeed at a college level.
Talk about division.
I don’t just mean the obvious racial division. When people can’t effectively communicate with one another, that will lead to misunderstandings that will most likely, at least in the current climate, result in further hatred and violence between parties. Communication is important, and it’s worth noting that in the past twenty years or so, each graduating class of high schoolers is increasingly less and less able to properly communicate what they’re thinking and feeling and why; if they even realize why.
It’s horrifying.
Are you sure this isn’t from the Babylon Bee? Sure sounds like the kind of nonsense they gin up. If it’s real, those people are real morons, handicapping students from the get-go to take their place as leaders, not ghetto thugs. That’s the only place black colloquial fractured English is used, not in boardrooms. Then they’ll go and say “Da white man kept me down!” No, it was the libtards who kept you down.
If teachers are no longer willing to teach reading, writing and arithmetic, they no longer serve any useful purpose.

Just remind them that I give grammar tests before I hire. Those tests are written in English.
This reminds me of a SNL Weekend Update joke. The news item was that Oakland had just held its first ebonics spelling bee. It was still won by a smart Korean kid.
Some several decades ago I was riding a city bus and sat behind two young black girls. They were having an energetic conversation of which I couldn’t understand a word. It came to pass that one posited a question to the other. The response came back, Wha? The back and forth repeated for perhaps a dozen iterations until finally the first girl very slowly enunciated,’you gwan to Bobby’s lawn party? Having cleared this communicative hurdle, the two resumed their jabbering at full speed. I came to understand that while the objective might have been to exclude me from inviting myself to the lawn party; in practical terms, they could barely understand each other.
Let’s see a doctor write a prescription in ebonics and get it filled at “any” pharmacy. Will they know what they are prescribing?

English instructors in universities have been pushing straight, white, conservative men out of secondary education English programs at least since the middle of the 1980s.

The original Ebonics movement claimed that "black" language was "genetically based."
This new stuff sounds more like a push for BLM-flavored NewSpeak.
I would suggest states decertify any teaching school that suggests such nonsense.
