People who work on oil rigs wear respirators full face shield submicron filtering ones for 12 hour shifts when the frac trucks and silica sand silos are on site. No one gets low oxygen levels or some other bullsh1t we do our jobs in west Texas heat with those respirators on why because we are men not whiney manchildern pitching a temper tantrum because someone told them what to do. The level of whining about masks for purely political reasons is nauseating. Suck it up butter cups. Bunch of damn marys

For all of those who allow the media to cause you to quake in your boots, and to believe that wearing masks is helpful: Asymptomatic people with COVID-19 infections do NOT spread the disease! As you know, I have said for months that wearing masks is absurd for the general population at large.

Now go one step further, now someone is telling you you must wear your mask not just on the oil rig, but off the rig. All the time. Everywhere. Like you said, you can still breath. So what is the big deal? What is the problem? If they can mandate you wear a mask, what else can they mandate?

No, he is saying that the droplets collect on the mask and are spread by contact by touching, which, if you will notice, most people can’t keep their hands off their masks, or, when the droplets are collected on the mask and dry, the virus is breathed in.
And those blue thin masks we all wear are worthless, but we are in compliance.

Surgeons wear masks to prevent BACTERIA from traveling from their mouth to the open body....they do not wear them to stop viruses.

No. He actually understands masks. First if all the virus is airborne. Second unless a mask is an N95 and properly fit tested the airflow around the sides and top of the mask stop nothing. Third the mask is saturated with exhaled moisture in about 20 minutes and it’s limited barrier to water droplets is lost. 4th a mask is meant to be worn a short period of time the. discarded not used over and over for a month. 5th once you touch it you are spreading whatever is in the mask. There is someone dumb and ignorant here and it ain’t the surgeon
You don’t get it. First this virus travels without dogs. Second the ones on dogs can go around and over the fence. Third once you touch the fence you are picking uo the dogs and spreading them around
Try this. Put chocolate syrup all over the outside of your mask. when you leave the grocery store and take off the mask and store it wherever you do, look where the chocolate syrup is now.... maybe that will give you a visual
