Would you still be against them if presented with irrefutable proof assuming such a thing existed?
Why is it so outrageous that in the face of virus to which we have no vaccine that people would try to protect themselves with something as intuitive as a mask?
I have been studying how masks work, building them, dissecting masks I've bought, subjecting them to tests seeing what gets through what doesn't and trying to understand why

Let's put it this way, there is vastly more scientific evidence and data that prove that HCQ/Zinc/AZT work than there is that masks work. So far, I haven't even seen one convincing scientific study that masks actually work.
Instead I have seen plenty of compelling evidence that not only do masks not work, they can have adversarial effect on you health by reducing your oxygen supply, increasing the amount of CO2 in the air you breadth and store bacteria in the masks from your nostrils etc.
There are plenty of mask threads here on FR where masks have been debated. Look it up.
You've stumbled on the true reason the wearing of masks is so popular (it has really become quite a fad): No matter how ineffective and how uncomfortable to wear masks are and even in the face of studies that in fact show prolonged mask-wearing often has negative health effects on the wearer, wearing a mask assuages the anxiety of the wearer and gives them the courage to venture outside of their homes and be around other people.
And by feeling confident to leave the homes,mask-wearers are actually performing a "public service" (although not the "service" they think they are performing). Because masks cannot physically stop transmission of "The Virus" -- any virus, for that matter -- wearing them helps build widespread immunity that would otherwise take much longer to achieve if mask-wearers weren't actively -- albeit, unknowingly == participating in the spread of "The Virus".
You could agree with Fauci in March that they don’t work.
Or you could agree with him now, when they do.
Or you could agree with the Netherlands who told its citizens not to wear them as they can cause more problems than they help.
Or you could agree with the CEDC and OSHA, both say they don’t protect from the virus and cause other problems.
But do let us know if you figure it all out.
Do you have any posts or threads with the data of mask efficacy from the tests you have done. I’m curious to see the benefits as well as the downsides to long term use of masks, depriving oxygen and re-inhalation of CO2.

Look, we can go at it all day if you want. There are literally hundreds of posts right here on FR proving that masks DON'T work.
Why are masks pointless?
Smallest perforation in typical N-95 mask: ~10 microns
Size of Covid 19 virus: 0.05 micron.
An N-95 mask is as effective against the virus as a chain link fence is against mosquitoes.
If SMELL can get through the mask, the virus likely can get through the mask.
