Not everyone is a troll. But when someone proves to be a troll we have moderators and JR who will make the call and then zot them away.
I no more consider calling a troll a troll than I do calling a Democrat a Democrat. Both are equally offensive terms, granted, but they are frequently accurate.
Sometimes they’re synonymous.
FR has been heavily critical of the GOP all along and for good reason. The FR opposes the Deep State which includes much of the GOP.

I am 100% for Trump but every 4-5 days he makes some azzbackwards crap comment that makes me cringe.

Sure and those posts are typical of FR culture.
I’m talking about the person who posts typical stuff for a year or so to establish credibility and then one day they start posting things that are outside of FR culture and outside of the persona the poster had established.
For instance someone posts about Ted Cruz for a year or so and how he’s a great Constitutionalist and then one day they start posting about how Nancy Pelosi’s arguments on the Constitution “might have a point”.
And these personality changes seem to occur right about when the elections heat up.

I'm closing in on 20 years here at FR.I have a very long history of clear,reasonably intelligent posts.It must be noted that I don't agree with *all* Freepers and there are one or two subjects on which I agree with very few Freepers.

How do you know it was a welder who did it? How would Donald Trump (who gets daily intelligence briefings) consider that it might be an asymmetric attack?
It’s too soon for the public to say one way or the other with any certainty mostly because any evidence was blown to bits.
Some time ago I was a troll at democratic underground (aka: The DUmpster Kids) and at The Guardian.I didn’t last long at all with the DUmpster Kids...I was banned within a week or so.The Guardian finally banned me after a few years when I pointed out that there are only two genders (I kid you not!).
Are you a GOP-E representative, MeganC ? We are a constitutionalist / conservative group here, not party people. We (or at least I) don’t have any allegiance to the GOP. Especially not since what we have learned in the last three years. As long as the GOP sticks to their principles, which is not very often, they will have my support.

Trump makes early statements that go against the reporting often.
And often he turns out to be right later because he had information others didn’t have.

The blaze started by the welder in another building and spread to the building holding the fertilizer. The fertilizer was owned by a Russian who was told for many years to remove it.
The local officials have been arrested this morning for negligence.

I have never understood the antipathy towards bloggers. If they post in the blog thread why does anyone care? Don’t look at that thread if you don’t like blogs.
For myself I am often interested in what they say and also would like to support conservative blogs anyway. Encourage them to write and build audience etc.

There are no trolls on Free Republic. My Russian handler mentioned that to me just the other day.
Just kidding, of course. I suppose there are trolls here, as there are on every discussion site. But worse than a troll is someone who casually throws out that term whenever someone disagrees with them. (I’m not referring to you, Megan.)
I think the best policy is to avoid the name-calling. The moderators here are pretty good. Hit the ‘Report Abuse’ button if you suspect a troll. If it really is a troll, the Viking Kitties will ZOT him.
