Every big explosion does. It’s the nature of how pressure waves interact with the surrounding atmosphere.
To: SunkenCiv
I probably would, too. To be fair.

I’m guessing it was indeed a grain silo exploding, but the original explosion/fire was NOT a fireworks storage warehouse, but weapons storage. (That maybe Israel blew up?)

Grain dust can be explosive. Could be the initial fires started a chain of events that caused an explosion at the grain elevators.

Nice angle, good duration! Y'know, ya couldn't pay me enough to be a high-rise window washer in Beirut.

Q36 space modulator factoryThat or somebody had weaponized eludium phosdex (the shaving cream atom).
So is Beirut a big fireworks hub? I picture cities in the ME as being more into firing off AKs, scuds, etc than fireworks.

Presence of strontium, strontium salts for the red? Nitrates. Nitrogen tetroxide, that sort of thing. Rocket fuel.

I like the aftemath vid from CNW, a bunch of vehicles including a scooter (not even knocked over), with a live narration. Not sure I'd bother going to see a fireworks show if I'd grown up in Lebanon.

Now it reminds me of a smaller version of the 1918 Halifax explosion.
