Rep. Karen Bass on Sunday walked back 2016 comments praising Cuban leader Fidel Castro, as scrutiny of her views toward the Communist government threatened her potential selection as former Vice President Joe Biden's running mate.
On “Fox News Sunday,“ the California Democrat faced questions about several visits to Cuba in the 1970s and a statement she released after Castro's 2016 death saying, "the passing of the Comandante en Jefe is a great loss to the people of Cuba.”
Bass told Fox host Chris Wallace that her perspective "developed over time" and that she now understood that the Castro government "was a brutal regime." Bass said she spoke with colleagues from Florida who raised concerns about her comments and that she "would not do that again, for sure."
"I absolutely would have not put that statement out," she said.
Scrutiny of Bass, the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, has grown in recent days as she has emerged as a top contender to be Biden's pick for vice president on the Democratic ticket.

So “time” has changed her adulatory views of the Castro brothers? Time was 2016, four years ago. From 1959 to 2016, the Castro brothers stole billions; killed tens of thousands; imprisoned and tortured countless thousands; took the western hemisphere’s 3rd wealthiest country and turned it into the second poorest, after Haiti; declared that offshore fish belongs to the “government” (them and their cronies) so the starving Cubans can’t fish for themselves; schemed against the US constantly; badgered the Soviets in 1962 to launch nuclear missiles against the US mainland. And this nitwit thinks she has what it takes to be our President??

What is amazing is that Dementia Joe has two VEEP candidates from Ca. CA is not even in play for Trump so why isn’t he going with someone else from a state that he needs to win. This election has to be tying the DNC up in knots. They are spinning in the wind as to their platform .... Beside Beat Trump, which is the only thing they got!
The election is in 14 weeks and 2 days, which is only 100 days away. That is not much time to get HidenBiden out of the basement, dust him off and get him on the campaign trail while trying cram his feeble brain with talking points for the debates.
They also need to get the VEEP on up to speed, on the trail while prepping for a VEEP debate or two.
