Many Americans are well aware that in their cities, the power belongs not just to leftists, not only to outspoken communists but also fanatics, ideological whackos with ideas of the world revolution. What will American citizens do? They, in fact, have already done, and have already decided this.
America has gorged its fill of decapitated and mutilated statues, looting and marauding left-wing barbarians, and demands the restoration of order. Democrats already seem to know who won this years election, and the pathetic attempt to revolutionize America is simply an instinctive collective reaction of leftism to its future loss. But what can act as a precise, objective measure of this loss?
Go to many stores in America, and you will see empty shelves. The situation is reminiscent of empty store shelves in the Soviet Union. Of course, this does not apply to clothe or food stores the shelves there are packed to capacity as if nothing were happening.
In America, only gun shops have empty shelves.
Scarcity is a word practically unknown to the Americans, but well known to everyone who lived behind the Iron Curtain. Now there is a deficit in America too supply does not keep pace with demand for firearms. In the first half of this year, weapons sales grew 80% compared to the first half of 2019, with about half of these purchases made by first-time buyers.
Most importantly, women have made a record number of gun purchases this year.

I foolishly thought everyone was all computered up but I see that I am wrong. I also see that, unlike me, when people got their stimulus money they spent it since it is burning a hole in their pocket.
Out where I am I try to keep up but am not a city dweller and don’t have a lot of contact with people and worse, tend to think that others see the world like I do and they don’t. In fact most don’t. My wife reminds me of that saying not everyone is a dedicated introvert engineer like I am living on a farm and seldom even going to town.

Yep.... monitors, laptops, webcams, etc. are pretty much tough to come by due to many folks having to work/study from home.
About the only work around is to build your own which is preferable anyway to avoid the extraneous garbage found on consumer rigs.
Try grocery stores.
Ive seen it there.
I just went ahead and ordered online from WM. Cost is about 3.00 per bottle (I bought a 2-pack). F it.
Thats a good price, too.
I like the wide mouth cause thye are easier to clean, even though the lids are more expensive.
Sorry you took my response as insulting. That’s a problem with message boards and probably always will be; there’s no way to convey “tone of voice”.
I didn’t mean it that way.
Appreciate it that you reached out. My error.
I have good luck finding canning lids in regular grocery stores. The prices are usually still normal as well. Our Walmart has been out of them forever.
I just posted on another thread that I saw small chest freezers at a local Runnings.
I know they were in very short supply at the beginning of the shutdown. They could not be had for love nor money.
This might be a good time for someone looking to get one before the next dem induced shortage.
