Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler’s progressive delusions seem to have gotten worse since he was tear-gassed while being at the riot as other rioters were trying to set fire to the federal courthouse.
Wheeler now wants to talk with the DHS about negotiating a “ceasefire” and the removal of increased federal law enforcement agents from Portland.
Commissioner @JoAnnPDX and I are calling for an immediate meeting with Department of Homeland Security leadership on the ground in Portland and with Acting Secretary @DHS_Wolf to discuss a cease-fire and the removal of heightened federal forces from Portland.

So, the man who let the anarchists get out of hand for the past 60 days, who has done nothing substantial to curtail their attacks on the federal courthouse and federal agents, seems to be negotiating the “war” on their behalf, seemingly asking the federal government to give in to the terrorism that has been going on for weeks by leaving.

Sounds like the rest of Oregon needs to recognize Portland and it’s suburbs as Ted’s state if he has to negotiate a ceasefire with the US government. Great! Now the rest of Oregon doesn’t need to secede. Ted has his own state and has already pulled out.
Wheeler gave up his right to negotiate anything when he refused to uphold the oath he took to enforce the laws of the City of Portland, the State of Oregon, and the U.S. Constitution. We don’t negotiate with traitors.
So he’s the representative of Antifa and the terrorists trying to burn down Portland? No conflicts of interest?

If I were advising DHS, they would only meet with Wheeler after he gave a written authorization to access all his personal and official email and other electronic communication accounts as well as all social media accounts, complete with passwords. If he is not aiding and abetting insurrection and other violations of federal law, what does he have to hide?

More like 'sympathizer'. Mayor Ted -- like his counterpart in Minneapolis -- has recently been roughly treated by protesters in his own city. First they violate their oath of office, then they presume to negotiate on behalf of a subset of their urban communities that would have no hesitation about stringing them up from a city lamp post. Does that sound like a strong negotiating position?
