Even a dam wanted to defect from Red China. It just didn’t move far enough. Expect it to be sent to a concentration camp or executed in the night and replaced by a Lincoln Log version.

Why can’t they just release water and lesson the pressure?

It's been raining so hard upstream of the dam, for so long, that even with all the floodgates open, the water behind the dam keeps rising.

Water is extremely efficient at stopping / absorbing radiation. Particularly when hundreds to thousands of feet deep.

“Why can’t they just release water and lesson the pressure?”

An Epic Times video said the dam’s operators had already opened all of the floodgates. That is not sufficient to release the volume of water expected as upstream floods make their way down to the reservoir.

Apparently, there is a water height were the pressure will collapse the dam, rather than just flowing over the top. I would imagine that if they blow the ship locks beside the dam that it would release more water, but doing so would create its own disaster. The Party’s problem is that any problem with the dam threatens the CCP’s legitimacy, so they will do as little as possible until it is too late. As it is, they didn’t tell anyone when they opened all the floodgates so people downstream were caught unawares and many more died than would have if they’d been warned in time to flee.

From what I’ve seen the CCP’s default strategy is to ignore the problem and hope it goes away until it is clear it won’t go away. Then, do whatever is expedient and deny it later.

... it does seem as though there may be a tragic event very very soon, like within 48 hours.

* * * *

Why was the problem only revealed last weekend? Perhaps because the situation is so serious that not having fessed up about it would cause a catastrophic distrust of Chinese leadership if the dam DID break — and the CCP covered up the danger.

How long did they hide the Wuhan virus to keep the world from finding out about it?

So the announcement itself “proves” this is a very serious situation.

That’s interesting. Did they say why? There could be other reasons- but if it’s about flooding that’s frightening.

A lot of problems involving China are about to be solved by such a solution, yes.

“In top CCP news, we are pleased to announce the removal of the Three Gorges Dam has completed successfully, ahead of schedule for The Party’s Great Green Nature Restoration Project. In other news, a 200-year storm has caused extensive flooding leading to some loss of life and property. China Prevails! 2-Minute Hate at 11.”

I’ve been keeping a watch on several Twitter accounts - there are some alarming ones this morning. I pray this sucker holds- the consequences of it failing are unimaginable. Loss of life, of infrastructure and global supply chains...

...saying that some nonstructural, peripheral parts of the dam had buckled... The deformation occurred last Saturday when the flood from western provinces including Sichuan and Chongqing along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River peaked at a record-setting 61,000 cubic meters per second... The company noted that parts of the dam had “deformed slightly,” displacing some external structures, and seepage into the main outlet walls had also been reported throughout the 18 hours on Saturday and Sunday when water was discharged though its outlets.
Oh, I'm sure it'll be just fine.

The Sudanese Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources, meanwhile, announced that the water level of the Blue Nile River has decreased by 90 million cubic meters per day, confirming the suspected closure of the Renaissance Dam gates.

Relatively older pictures were likely poor images from satellites and seemed to be easily shown as inaccurate.

If that is what it really looks like right now, then there is a serious problem.

The earlier shots were deformed more on the left side of that image, and the center didn’t look like that in any of the pictures I’ve seen.

The original (and the “current ones as well” are distorted greatly ( by tens of feet) due to the lens corrections on the satellite images. When the Chinese admit “the dam moved (this week ?) let us FIRST find out “how much it moved (this week, or after flood waters).
1/2 inch?
1 inch?
12 inches?

They’re doing that - Claim that is the cause of the “flooding” people are also talking about.

That is the warped (distorted) satellite images that I was referring to. The actual dam does not look like that when photographed by local cameras.
