Celebrate: Navarro Op-Ed Signals White House Break With Fauci
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 07/15/2020 5:03:56 AM PDT by EyesOfTX

Peter Navarro, the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy for President Donald Trump, grew weary of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s grandstanding and chronic flip-flopping in public long ago. Back in April, Axios reported on a confrontation Navarro had with the little menace to American society during a Coronavirus Task Force meeting at the White House:

Toward the end of the meeting, Hahn began a discussion of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, which Trump believes could be a “game-changer” against the coronavirus.

Hahn gave an update about the drug and what he was seeing in different trials and real-world results. Then Navarro got up. He brought over a stack of folders and dropped them on the table. People started passing them around. “And the first words out of his mouth are that the studies that he’s seen, I believe they’re mostly overseas, show ‘clear therapeutic efficacy,’” said a source familiar with the conversation. “Those are the exact words out of his mouth.” Navarro’s comments set off a heated exchange about how the Trump administration and the president ought to talk about the malaria drug, which Fauci and other public health officials stress is unproven to combat COVID-19.

Fauci pushed back against Navarro, saying that there was only anecdotal evidence that hydroxychloroquine works against the coronavirus. Researchers have said studies out of France and China are inadequate because they did not include control groups. Fauci and others have said much more data is needed to prove that hydroxychloroquine is effective against the coronavirus. As part of his role, Navarro has been trying to source hydroxychloroquine from around the world. He’s also been trying to ensure that there are enough domestic production capabilities inside the U.S. Fauci’s mention of anecdotal evidence “just set Peter off,” said one of the sources. Navarro pointed to the pile of folders on the desk, which included printouts of studies on hydroxychloroquine from around the world.

Navarro said to Fauci, “That’s science, not anecdote,” said another of the sources. Navarro started raising his voice, and at one point accused Fauci of objecting to Trump’s travel restrictions, saying, “You were the one who early on objected to the travel restrictions with China,” saying that travel restrictions don’t work. (Navarro was one of the earliest to push the China travel ban.)

[End]

Yesterday, in response to Fauci’s continuing efforts to undermine national policy in his myriad media appearances, Navarro penned a sterling op-ed for USA Today. As is his habit, Navarro is devastatingly succinct and precise in laying out the many reasons why Fauci deserves to be ignored in the nation’s ongoing efforts to effectively deal with the Wuhan Virus pandemic.

From the op-ed:

Dr. Anthony Fauci has a good bedside manner with the public, but he has been wrong about everything I have interacted with him on.

In late January, when I was making the case on behalf of the president to take down the flights from China, Fauci fought against the president’s courageous decision — which might well have saved hundreds of thousands of American lives.

When I warned in late January in a memo of a possibly deadly pandemic, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases was telling the news media not to worry.

When I was working feverishly on behalf of the president in February to help engineer the fastest industrial mobilization of the health care sector in our history, Fauci was still telling the public the China virus was low risk.

When we were building new mask capacity in record time, Fauci was flip-flopping on the use of masks.

[End]

There’s more, and you should go read the piece in full. The simple fact of the matter – as we have pointed out repeatedly here – is that Fauci has yet to get any single aspect of this viral gift from China right. As Navarro points out, the little menace has been wrong about everything, often with catastrophic results to our society.

Even now, Fauci is out in the media declaring that it would be “dangerous” for the U.S. to reopen schools this fall when literally every other nation on earth is opening their own schools and getting their kids back to learning. As clearly exhibited by his multiple love letter to Hillary Clinton and all of the selfies he has had taken with Clinton, Pelosi and other leftist luminaries, Fauci is nothing more or less than a tool of the Democrat Party who has worked from Day 1 to undermine America’s response to the virus, in the process intentionally undermining America itself.

Fauci himself admitted last week that he has not been allowed to brief the President in more than 2 months, and the fact that Navarro was allowed to author that op-ed clearly signals that his relationship with the White House has been officially severed.

That, folks, is a very good thing for our country.

That is all.

David, early in your article you brought in the name ‘Hahn’ but you never explained who that was. Who is Hahn?

Force Fauci to retire or else fire him. If the President has no confidence in him then there is no reason for him to be there.

Gosh, it’s almost like Fauci WANTS and has WANTED the virus to cause more disruption and panic. Now, why would he want that? I have had Leftist friends who worship Saint Fauci......never mind he flip-flops all the time. And never forget his emails to Hillary, praising her and lamenting the FACT that she didn’t win.

How did Fauci get this huge role? Whose idea was it to put him front and center? Whoever did that, the President needs to fire.

I'm still waiting for the two million dead by Covid-19, exactly when will this happen?

I love the Ginned up 'new' Covid-19 cases, 100% positive testing.

By: Beda M Stadler is the former director of the Institute for Immunology at the University of Bern

So if we do a PCR corona test on an immune person, it is not a virus that is detected, but a small shattered part of the viral genome. The test comes back positive for as long as there are tiny shattered parts of the virus left. Correct: Even if the infectious viruses are long dead, a corona test can come back positive, because the PCR method multiplies even a tiny fraction of the viral genetic material enough [to be detected]. That’s exactly what happened, when there was the global news, even shared by the WHO, that 200 Koreans who already went through Covid-19 were infected a second time and that there was therefore probably no immunity against this virus. The explanation of what really happened and an apology came only later, when it was clear that the immune Koreans were perfectly healthy and only had a short battle with the virus. The crux was that the virus debris registered with the overly sensitive test and therefore came back as “positive”. It is likely that a large number of the daily reported infection numbers are purely due to viral debris.

The PCR test with its extreme sensitivity was initially perfect to find out where the virus could be. But this test can not identify whether the virus is still alive, i.e. still infectous. Unfortunately, this also led some virologists to equate the strength of a test result with viral load, i.e. the amount of virus someone can breathe out. Luckily, our day care centres stayed open nontheless. Since German virologist missed that part, because, out of principle, they do not look at what other countries are doing, even if other countries’ case numbers are falling more rapidly.
