Until last week, Gary Garrels was senior curator of painting and sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). He resigned his position after museum employees circulated a petition that accused him of racism and demanded his immediate ouster. "Gary's removal from SFMOMA is non-negotiable," read the petition. "Considering his lengthy tenure at this institution, we ask just how long have his toxic white supremacist beliefs regarding race and equity directed his position curating the content of the museum?"

See, now it’s “racism” to not totally keep out the works of white men because of their race. Of course, that turns the traditional meaning of the word racism upside down. Discriminating against and judging people because of their race rather than the quality of their work used to be the defintion of racism; now the leftists claim it is racist not to do this.
Remember his shocking racism was literally only saying white males shouldn’t summarily be excluded because they are white males. Somehow not actively discriminating against whites because of their race is now perpetuating white supremacy to the Marxists. Take a moment and think of the repercussions of such a crazy, bigoted idea.
With major museums in the hands of deluded, angry and blind leftist boards like this, I fear there will come a time when any art produced by white people, Christians, or anyone else deemed politically incorrect will be put to the torch.
well, all I can say is that before we actually get to that...like really get to that...then we just need to go ahead and escalate into the fight that the left wants and finish them off.

An early version of this was when the artistic director of the California Musical Theater was forced to resign because he was a Mormon and had gotten doxxed re his giving money to an effort to preserve traditional marriage in California. That was in 2008.
This all sounds very much like the actions taken in Germany to display only approved, Aryan works of art that extolled the great Aryan race. Similar actions took place in the Soviet Union. Race and ideologically based approval of what is art.

And of course what is truly incontestable is your absolute right to say exactly THAT and much worse, honestly. As well as my duty to listen politely and either move on down the road OR to intelligently disagree and have a good conversation....thus advancing civilization.
gracious, civilizing-building discussion is what we conservatives have to promote.
