Lol! Agree 100%. I would vote for pineapple over Biden. Lol!
The only black votes West would be likely to attract are those who have already left the plantation. You know - Trump votes.
He’s not getting many votes from the Dem base.
“Bernie bros will vote for him too.”
I’d forgot about Bernie folks. Dem candidates were so awful (including biden) that Bernie almost got the nomination. And when he didn’t it was said that Bernie people who were angry about getting the nomination snatched away might not vote, or vote for biden, but were unlikely to vote for President Trump. That might be true, but if Kanye were to run in whatever form (write in) the disgruntled black folks, libs, dims, and Bernie people would have an alternative to the hideous choice that is biden. And I’ll bet that’s a butt load.
Kanye will not be able to get on the ballot in most states so, at best, he will run an Egg McMuffin campaign like the Mormon that tried to run against Trump in 2016. But where he WILL make a difference is that anyone who wants to vote for Kanye for preezy cannot then vote a straight Democrat ticket. It won’t damage Biden as badly as it will affect down-ballot races because many Dems are either lazy or dumb and will not be able to complete a ballot where they have to vote each individual Dem candidate - that’s why the Dems passed “straight ticket” laws to begin with.
Could he pull from the newly-woke black voters that were gonna now vote for President Trump? I hope not....PDJT worked hard to get that black vote.
The first First Lady with a porno tape.
Nah. He draws huge crowds at his concerts — they all can’t be Trump voters.
Trump does not seem phased in the least about Kanye’s announcement.
He can’t. Here’s some info from Herman Cain’s twitter account. Herman Cain (or someone on his team) has written an informative article (link below). [Mr Cain is still hospitalized for covid19 but doing better on oxygen and HCQ/Zpack.]
Kanye has already missed the deadlines for: AZ, Conn, Ill, Ind, Maine, NM, NY, NC, RI, SD, TX, Wash.
Those 12 states account for 153 electoral votes, which Kanye begins on day one with no hope of getting.
But it gets worse. Floridas deadline, with 29 electoral votes at stake, comes up in 9 days. Kanye needs 132,781 signatures to get on the ballot there. Michigans deadline, with 16 electoral votes at stake, comes up in 10 days. Michigan requires 30,000 signatures. In California, Kanye has until August 7, but he needs to gather 196,964 signatures there. California has 55 electoral votes.
Hes not going to be elected president because the facts laid out above render a victory mathematically impossible. There are only 538 electoral votes to be had in the whole election, and Kanye has already forfeited 153 of them by joining the race too late. Hes not going to win 270 electoral votes out of the 385 remaining, running as an independent. Hed have to win two-thirds of the states that have him on the ballot. Hes not going to do that.
Does that mean Kimmy won’t be visiting the WH to plead the cases for criminals? awwwwww....
Trump should drop Pence and have Herschel Walker run as VeeP. just a thought.
Who be dis Kandye Kardashian Krackpot?
Who be dis Kandye Kardashian Krackpot?
Attention whore just like his wife.
People who think Trump is a celebrity president, or that Reagan was a celebrity President, do not understand what happened in 1980 or 2016.
People like me, long time Reagan conservatives, have a natural aversion to celebrities - even the ones that stay on their lanes.
Celebrities that decide to go into politics are a joke to people like me - until theyre not.
My point is that Reagans voter appeal had zero to do with him once having been a Hollywood actor. Same with Donald Trump being whatever he was in show business
I laughed about Trump running in the beginning but by the end of 2015, I stopped laughing because I heard what he had to say and I liked it. Trump dared to fight against the Progressive Left. Reagan dared to fight against the Progressive Left. Thats what their appeal was to the silent majority - who are threatened by the progressive movement but need leadership to resist it.
Kanye West might be doing the same thing Reagan and Trump did - transcend from celebrity to statesman. And sure, name recognition helps.
But this idea that any celebrity can do it is mistaken.
The Rock wont become President. He is not going up against the Progressive Left - so be wont appeal to the silent majority. And he isnt an extreme enough Marxist to win over the Left. Hes not black enough, not female enough, not gay enough and not angry enough.
He was two-time governor of the most populous State in the Union.
Right.
But the point I was trying to make applies to Trump as well, and he was never in politics before.
Agree. Not their friends in any way!
