Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) is demanding that the federal government "pay its fair share for repairing the damage done in our state by the George Floyd rioters." The damage estimate comes to $500 million.
Walz acknowledged that he had refused President Trump's offer of assistance to quell the rioting, but still maintained that "it was the President's obligation to override my mistaken refusal. Obviously, I severely misjudged the situation. He should have seen I wasn't up to the job of maintaining order and stepped in. Sure, I probably would've denounced him for violating state's rights and the media would've blasted him, but he's got to be the bigger man and let bygones be bygones."

Send the Bill to the Democrats ,LOL
Go scratch.
No. Not a penny. They wanted no interference or help, they let shiite get out of hand.
Consider it fedgov defunding communist retards.
Is he going to cede that part of the city to the federal government?
This is called satire but it is the truth. I read about it last week on the Minneapolis news sites.
The comments were very clear. NO FEDERAL MONEY FOR MINNEAPOLISTAN.
The taxpayers do not want to foot the bill for the riots.
As a kicker it should be deducted from Minnesota's federal aid package somehow.
Of course he does. That was the plan the whole time.
My guess is that Walz wanted it both ways. He wanted the Feds to come in and restore order against his will so he could blame Trump for interference in State affairs. After the fact he wants the Feds to pay for the repairs of the damage caused by his poor judgment and disdain for Trump.
Walz is not alone in his desire to tap into Federal dollars to repair damage deliberately caused by his hate for Trump. Why did he not just think about protecting the people who elected him? He just wants to wave off the considerable damage because he "severely misjudged the situation."
This behavior by Democrat leaders continues today. Maybe they really are not "leaders."
Up yours, corrupt Democrat.
Screw him!! Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t his daughter giving out information to these subversives and Diblabbio’s kid did too. Isn’t there a law???? Why aren’t these skanks and their parents in jail??????
We elected a Governor, Legislature, Mayors, City Counsel people...
This money DOES NOT COME OUT OF THE BUDGET; OUR POCKETS; OR THE SLUSH FUND....it comes out of the Governors pocket, the Legislature pockets - each and every one-; Mayors; City Counsel members...
WE voted them in to do a job and when the protesters came and burnt down buildings, burned Police Cars, broke windows, spray painted everything in site, painted streets, where was the Governors? Where were the Legislature critters? Where were the Mayors? Where where the City Counsel members?
Who was out there fighting??? The POLICE, FIRE FIGHTERS, and
EMTS...
So start reaching in your pockets and digging out all that money you get paid to sit on your butts or to hide when something goes wrong...get a back bone and a set of balls and cough it up, you DIDN'T DO YOUR JOBS THAT YOU WERE ELECTED TO DO!!!
I know this is satire, but it is still very real.
I had an internship in the 1980s in the twin cities. I loved running up there for the summers and hoped to return someday. I cannot imagine setting foot near there these days. That hope is dead.
how about sending the bill to BLM, ANTIFA and The DNC
No way Timmy boy. You and your leftist daughter can go straight to he!!.
Give only money under tight control.fix every federal item broken. Pay all the feds underpaid in mini-soda. Prosecute any one who deletes a federal crime charge against a rioter. ICE needs to run roughshod over any sanctuary policy declaration. Guns drawn...riot gear...arrest...report...and prosecute those who aided and abetted. Hold other funds till the inept govnuh is out of office.
Exactly what the president should have said.
