Being woke = going broke. At least that appears to be the case for Collin Kaepernick-supporting Nike. In case you missed it, the woke shoe maker that seems to have contracts to supply the shoes and uniforms for most major sports teams across the globe somehow managed to report a princely $790 million loss for the 4th quarter of 2019.
The company blames part of the loss on store closures related to COVID-19, but that cant be true, given that none of those closures took place until late in the first quarter of 2020. Nike also announced that it will be executing a big layoff as the result of its losses, which come on the heels of the massive, Kaepernick-focused advertising campaign it ran during the second half of 2019.

Hah, hope Nike goes bankrupt. Soon.
Good. Glad to know actions have consequences and that boycotts work. The only thing these corporations care about is their bottom line - and that's where we need to hit them, repeatedly. Had to give up my Nike's after the Kaepernick kerfuffle. I have difficult to fit feet and Nikes were one of the few shoes that I could find that were comfortable. No longer. NFL out. NBA out. Nike out.
Thanks.
Love the parts about fake facemask Fauci, and the Texas hospital executive willing to tell the truth.
Been wearing Nike sneakers since 1982, starting with the Leather Cortez.
Got a new pair of Monarchs last Christmas that i am ready to use and replace the WORST foot killing Monarchs i have ever owned....after like 15 pairs of them.
Their Chinese slaves are apparently really slacking off these days...
After that i am ALL DONE with Nike.
Probably go New Balance for now on.
Wish they weren’t so ugly though..
Being woke = going broke.
Nike can't go under fast enough for me... So sick of them giving the finger to most Americans.
I wasnt buying Nike stuff anyway, but if I had been, the whole Colin Kaepernick thing would have turned me right off.
Im not into professional football or basketball - so I dont care about the kneeling - as long as I dont have to see it (and I dont since I do t watch football or basketball anyway.
I do t go to live concerts anymore if the performer has a history of getting political
Just looking at him, the guy seem like a total a-hole - having him endorse Nike products seems like a terrible idea - but maybe thats just me.
Good news about Nike. I divested myself of all of my cute Nike running shorts a while back. I stay with UA, adidas, and Brooks.
