Former Vice President Joe Biden is thumping President Donald Trump in the polls. As of Friday, Biden led Trump by 10 percentage points in the RealClearPolitics national average and by six to nine points in each of four key states: Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. But many Democrats refuse to trust these numbers. They feel burned by 2016, when Hillary Clinton lost after leading in the polls for months. They’re afraid Trump will come back again.
That could happen. But it probably won’t, and one reason is that Biden isn’t Clinton. You can argue that public antipathy toward Clinton was sexist, based on lies, or propelled by the media. But that antipathy was a fact, and polls consistently documented it. Now polls are showing something else: On identical questions, posed by the same pollsters at the same stage of the campaign, Biden is doing far better than Clinton did. He’s more broadly liked and less broadly disliked than she was.

But There Won't Be an Obama Swag-Bag"), I warned that the numbers in the early voting were not sufficient for the Messiah to win---not in Colorado, not in Florida, and at the time, barely enough to carry California. Since then, the numbers in CO have improved for Obama, but in my view not nearly enough. The numbers in Florida remain daunting for him, and California still is stunningly close in terms of Democrat/Republican splits. Based on that, and some other factors, I predicted there would be no Obama victory, and no Obama "Swag-Bag." (Did anyone see the Obama voter who said the Messiah would pay off her mortgage and pay for her gas!?)
The developments in the past week have, if anything, strengthened my conviction that McCain will be inaugurated next January.
We should all be very humble and careful about predictions, especially on the internet.

As a Constitutional amendment, it would never pass because most conservative-leaning states would vote against it, but as you say, the House, Senate, and President will find a way to circumvent Constitutional formalities if the SC plays along.

I am one of those who believe Hillary was a _much_ tougher opponent than Biden.
She had a lifetime of political experience, a determination to win, and the Clinton fundraising (extortion) machine.
“The first woman President” had incredible mass media support.
She also had the support of the incumbent President.
Folks here forget just how tough Hillary was....

I disagree with this. A clinton will lie and cheat even when they don't have to. They can't help it, it's in their character.

I trust President Trump is a smart enough politician to figure out what they are up to, and not fall for it. He won’t be tricked into abandoning or watering down his winning MAGA message.
Plus, the President has other reasons besides winning to stick to his MAGA message: he is the real deal, and really cares about making America great again.
Talking to my Democrat friends, (and weirdly enough some hard core Democrats do remain good friends), I just can’t believe the low regard they have for Donald Trump. They detest him and think he’s an idiot. They have all kinds of “facts“, false stories, twisted logic, and bs quotes of things he never said. They have mistaken or dishonest ideas about how the economy works - how the world works - and it is impossible to set them straight. It is like they are living in a different reality.
Unlike the Bushes, Romneys and McCains, President Trump knows these people are too far gone and won’t try to appease them.
He’ll stick to the truth and then it’s just up to the voters. Hopefully, there are enough voters who still want the truth.

In practice, she was a very weak candidate, so weak that she was beaten by Bernie Sanders in states where Sanders lost by 10-20 points this time around. That to me suggests that in the 2016 Democrat primary, people weren't voting for Bernie, they were voting against her. And many of those who voted against her in the Democrat primaries couldn't be bothered to vote for her in the general election.
