Van Jones weighs in on President Donald Trump's comments on race relations at an economic roundtable event in Dallas on Thursday and what he believes is a "populist uprising against the status quo."
(snip)
VAN JONES, CNN POLITICAL COMMENTATOR: "...The dominoes are falling in one direction through corporate America, through the young people of America. The irony here is that Donald Trump got into office by navigating the choppy waters of a populist uprising in the country in our party, you have the Bernie Sanders uprising in his party with a Donald Trump uprising. He should understand and recognize a populist uprising when he sees one.
But instead, this is a populist uprising against the status quo on race in this country. We are tired of his videos. We're tired of the stuff that is going on. And he is having a hard time navigating it because it doesn't fit with what he expects from populism in the country.
Van Jones: ... We are in a moment that maybe history will call maybe a Great Awakening, where people have come together. There is a new consensus that has emerged and people are moving on to get stuff done at all levels of society that the Trump administration still has an opportunity to be a more constructive part of this process. But the reality is, the reason he is even talking about this and the reason that we're talking about this is because millions -- tens of millions of ordinary Americans black, white and otherwise are in the streets right now wanting a better way forward, and the dominoes are falling in only one direction.

Didn't Barr say as much before waddling off, stage right? We kinda deserve to know.
Uprising, yes.
Populist, no.
Just because the avenues of communication are suppressing conservative voices doesn’t mean liberals have prevailed.
The only satisfaction I’ll take when the Revolution comes, is that guys like Van will be first against the wall.
Van Jones, again...is wrong. It is okay to have an opinion after being INFORMED of the facts.
Who is statusing the quo in Minneapolis? In New York. In Los Angeles. In Oakland.
I know who isn't. Republicans. Or President Trump. So, why are they the bad guys?
Doesn’t he know that many of the people promoting, financially supporting, and even many of those involved are from wealthy backgrounds?
Populist, my butt... astroturf most likely.
This is a leftist tantrum because they're not getting their way with the majority of the people in this country.

He doesnt like Pictures of Matchstick Men?
Van Jones thinks he has his finger on the ‘pulse’ of society. He is so far from that as to need GPS to just get near the planet the rest of us are living on.
And a few hundred of million will stop putting up with the never ending race protection racket.
.
‘populist’ ... hardly.
These leftists can call it whatever they want but it is NOT POPULAR and the weight of the Sane People is going to put an end to the criminals abusing our Freedoms.
.
This is a Soros-funded, Obama-organized summer camp for privileged white snowflakes to burn down black neighborhoods in the name of anti-Racism.
excellent..... I may borrow that one
It will not be called the new dark ages, cause that would be racist.
Status quo? The left controls pretty much everything.

Exactly. The Marxists Globalist have ran this country forever and now just exposing themselves. This is NOT a populous uprising their own fake polls show the majority of people support the cops.
This asshole really thinks the majority of people support 13% of the population being allowed to do any violence they like?
oooooooooh okay.
