Anti-fascist leftist movement, Antifa, has dominated US politics during the weekslong protests over the death of unarmed black man, George Floyd, in police custody. US President Trump is holding the group accountable for the ongoing violence.
It’s fair to say that the protest often becomes violent because Antifa members are out there to destroy and the police brutality protests are not their main goal.
As protesters clash in occasionally violent street confrontations that spread via online video, provoking emotional conversations that could touch almost anyone on Facebook or Twitter, millions of Americans feel pressure to pick a side, to support or denounce a faction, knowing that whatever they say about white supremacists, Antifa, or Black Lives Matter, they risk being criticized for failing to condemn violence on “their side,” or for suggesting a false equivalence between groups.
But it seems that almost everyone forgot that Antifa is acting on its own and even BLM wasn’t spared. In 2017 a scuffle broke out between Antifa members and a member of Black Lives Matter during a rally to protest white supremacy and the Confederate monuments in Dallas.
The mainstream media was quiet in 2017 and it’s still quiet now so this incident went unnoticed.
There “was a lot of pushing and shoving” between pro-Confederacy supporters and the protesters. It is not confirmed how many scuffles broke out during the protest, according to The Blaze.
However, video captured one dustup that occurred — not between pro-Confederacy supporters and protesters but between Black Lives Matter and the radical leftist Antifa.
During the night, Black Lives Matter and Antifa squared off. Black Lives Matter members demanded Antifa remove their masks and leave the city.
One member of Black Lives Matter seemed to lead the shouting match between the groups, as one member of Antifa held a bullhorn that emitted a loud siren noise to cover the BLM member’s speech. Antifa members then began to accuse the Black Lives Matter member of being a cop.
The BLM member then got into the face of the Antifa member, threatening to knock his mask off. The Antifa member responded by punching the BLM member in the face. The BLM member stepped back and raised his hands into the air.
This caused a momentary separation of the two groups. Screaming and accusations were thrown back and forth between the opposing factions. BLM members then began to chant “take your mask off” at members of Antifa. Video below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QANvgecGAiE&feature=emb_title
I hope all races of people from both sides wake up and let these extremists self-destruct. The KKK and neo-nazis are in the past and Antifa should be treated the same way!
