We Hear You Loud And Clear (But Be Careful What You Wish For)
Crowds are protesting in the streets of major cities demanding that Police Departments are defunded and abolished. Violent criminals among the protestors are injuring and killing Police Officers, burning Police Cars and Stations, and damaging Fire Department equipment. It would serve y’all right to get your wish! Perhaps some will remember New Orleans after Katrina, when many of the local Police had fled to Houston and 911 calls went unanswered, while people sat on the roofs of their homes amid rushing waters begging to be rescued. This could be your self-fulfilling prophecy.
So who are you going to call when there are no Police to respond? Who do you call at 3AM when the rapist just threw you away alone and naked? Who do you call when you get home from work and everything of value that you owned is gone? Who do you call when some drive by shooter put a bullet in your baby? Who do you call when your tire blows out and you are injured in a ditch somewhere. Who do you call when some guy snatches your purse and runs off as you try to board the subway? Who will you call for these and a thousand other reasons?
Who is going to fill that vacuum when there are no Police to keep the law and order? Well, if history is our teacher, the strongest among the cartels, gangs, drug dealers, Black Panther style armed 'patrols' as one article suggested, or maybe just the biggest, toughest bullies on the block. You know who these people in your community are already --- do you trust them today? Will you trust them with your future? Do you think they will uphold the law and obey the Constitution? Have you seen “Lord of the Flies”???
And what if the tough guys ruling the streets decide that they will only protect those who pay for their protection? What will that price be in dollars or services? And what will happen if you can’t or don’t pay?
Yes, there are “Bad Cops” --- there are one or two bad apples in every human activity and occupation. Bad Cops should be singled out and punished. But blaming the entire Police System for the behavior of one or two bad Officers is a lot like blaming every single individual protestor for the looting, arson, assaults, and murders committed in the riots. Are you down with that?
It’s pure and simple cause and effect, not rocket science. Think it through, people --- before you make tragic and irreparable mistakes with unimaginable consequences.
When the knuckle dragging gang bangers are shooting up your neighborhood and you and your family are cowering under your beds to dodge the stray bullets, who are you going to call? Antifa?
I know I should don a flack jacket for saying this as I am sure a lot of people on here know, are married to, or have family members who are teachers, but I want to know when we are going to start the DEFUND TEACHERS MOVEMENT.
It’s just as preposterous, but based on the logic (if you can call it that) of these idiots, we need to be able to hold teachers accountable for the injustices they do to our children, both through negligence and willfully.
Sorry, that is white privilege to think you can call the cops ..or some such nonsense as per the head of the Minneapolis Board
I remember New Orleans and Katrina, the cops fleeing, and Bush getting blamed for it.
Send a copy to the editors of news papers in the major cities that had riots. (Letters to Editor) Might get published might not.
If the police department is abolished expect to see far more dead black people in 1 month than the police have killed over the course of years.
The leftist are being their true selves...the curtain is pulled back. Only those who have their eyes wide shut will support this lunacy.
