The building, which also housed El Nuevo Rodeo restaurant and club, was lost to arson on the same night protesters burned down the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct Station following the police killing of George Floyd.
As Minneapolis’ only radio station broadcast completely in Spanish, La Raza in many ways serves as a lifeline to the city’s Latino community. I believe before Bush 43 there were few skinnies in Minnesota.
There were very little spanish speakers in Louisiana also.

I think the fact that there are more Spanish-speaking in Minnesota and other states now compared to years ago is not the key issue here.

It is clear- the media defines what words mean!
There is poetic justice in this story. La Raza means “the race” in Spanish. It is a racist term implying the Latin Americans are the superior to other races and the group often talks of a reconquista of America. It gets burned down by black rioters protesting so-called white racism...
America is now like a family with totally dysfunctional family members alongside normal ones. It is not hard to use imagination and current events on how so totally screwed up things are.

In 1950 Minneapolis was 98% non hispanic white with a population of 520,000.

They call it Whitopia.
No anger, no looting, streets are totally safe for everyone all the time.
No need to lock the doors of your house or your car.
Kids can play outside and walk to school or to the park without worry.
