• Even if it did mutate in to a much less virulent form in Italy, that doesn't mean it's less deadly anywhere else.
• Tennessee had one of it's highest days yesterday of daily new cases excluding the two days they tested prisons. Georgia's new case count has been going up to.
• The US Case fatality rate is now 5.7%. I think it had reached 5.9%. So that implies the incremental Case Fatality Rate has come down. That could be from increased testing resulting in detection of more cases that are less serious. Or it could be due to better treatments. Or both.
• NY death rate is 7.9%.

So yes the virus is still out there. And new cases are likely growing since the reopening. It's still deadly.

I do expect to see a spike from the protests, but there was a lot of mask wearing. And I've stated before that I think mask wearing is more important than the 6' rule. On the other hand, it's mostly young people who were protesting, So it may actually be another week while they spread it around.

If there’s NOT a big bump in cases next week, the pandemic is basically O-VAR.
