For the second night in a row, peaceful protests over the in-custody death of George Floyd quickly turned violent Wednesday night, with multiple building structures set ablaze, widespread looting, and continued rioting.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey requested Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to deploy the Minnesota National Guard following the social unrest. Demonstrators torched multiple building structures, including an apartment complex and surrounding buildings, an AutoZone, and other retail stores. At least a dozen stores were looted and or damaged.
“That’s like five buildings on fire,” one demonstrator said while talking to Unicorn Riot News.

Another horrifying moment came when a Target store was looted by a mob of protesters on Wednesday night.
There was a video of one man down on the ground being treated by police outside of a business last night. The man was reportedly shot after trying to loot a pawn shop. Though few details have yet emerged about the murder – the first casualty linked to the riots – a number of unconfirmed reports, including from bystanders on the scene, suggest the man was shot while attempting to loot a pawn shop in the city on Wednesday night. According to Twitter user Finding Novyon two people were shot outside of Cadillac Pawn on Bloomington Avenue. Mayor Frey tweeted a plea for an end to the violence:
“Please, Minneapolis, we cannot let tragedy beget more tragedy,” the mayor’s tweet read. “The area along Lake has become unsafe. We are asking for your help in keeping the peace tonight.”
And to make matters worse, social unrest has spread to Los Angeles on Wednesday night, where “black lives matter protesters” surrounded and attacked police cars on Highway 101 in response to what was happening in Minneapolis.

Mayor Frey is a PC Leftist who is so far in over his head on this, he would take 5 minutes swimming furiously to get to the surface. This is going to get lots worse before it gets better.

Meanwhile the cops just stood back and did nothing. LA did the same after the Rodney King situation for a few days. Looters need to be told they will be shot if they steal things from stores. This Mayor sounds like he has been exposed as a numbskull.
The only thing those dumb asses have accomplished is to give LE a justification for wage increases to protect properties because the rioters looted innocent Businesses. They should have focused on Only the Police stations to make their point. Now instead of having the public sympathetic for them, the rioters have just become looting trash. Recruitment in LE will be difficult there and have to include better pay.

Yep, that’s the likely scenario. I guess that’s their idea of “To Serve and to Protect”. They just don’t understand who and what they should preserve and protect. It sounds like they’re adopting the Baltimore strategy of “Give them space to destroy”.
