Perhaps there needs to be riots?

Not about race but about police over reach.

There have been many cases of police killings from the man killed in the hall, to the woman killed in her living room by a shot through the window, to this terrible event and many many more.

Perhaps it is time to end this sort of militarization of our police against us.

I posted something similar - not a call for riots, but that this is NOT a race issue. Some on the Left (and Right) want to make it into a race issue, but it is actually an authority issue. My post on that below, including a link to a video of a white man who was gunned down after being given the most confusing orders. Also, if your home gets ‘Swatted’ by some prankster and SWAT shows up thinking you’re a criminal and conduct a no-knock raid, one would quickly realize it’s not a race issue at all but rather an authority over civilians issue (ironically though, police officers are civilians but some of them forget that). Anyway, my post:

It kind of reminds me of this incident - this clip cuts off before the man gets shot, but what’s important is how the cop kept giving instructions until the person was unable to do them ...and was shot.

By the way, just to be clear MOST police officers are good citizens. But there is a significant minority who are anything but civil. Also, it’s not a white cop vs Black person issue. The video above is white cop vs white person, and a person I know who is former MARSOC (and white) posted a video of a black police officer harassing his place of business. Thus it’s not a color issue but rather a power-over-citizens issue

Exactly. Yes, these riots are about race and the race baiters are abetting them.. further, I’m a supporter of shooting looters and arsons. But..had that cop showed better self-restraint, it wouldn’t have gotten to that point.

You do have a point there. The day and age of Andy Griffith is long, long gone. I just cannot see the reason for police outfits having surplus military armored vehicles. No knock warrants executed by people in full military garb. It presents an image that there is an actual war going on between the police and the civilian populace.
