Video: Man Pleads That He Can’t Breathe While Cop Keeps A Knee On His Neck — And Dies Shortly After

A video posted on social media this week shows a police officer keeping his knee planted on the neck of a black man who pleaded that he couldn’t breathe and subsequently died shortly afterward.

It happened Monday night, when cops were responding to a “forgery in progress.” Police arrived and saw the suspect sitting in a car. According to the Department, the man resisted arrest so he was placed in handcuffs, adding “he appeared to be suffering medical distress.”

The Police Dept. added, “At no time were weapons of any type used by anyone involved in this incident.”

What the P.D. did not address … is the video, and it’s incredibly disturbing.

The black man can be heard moaning and telling the officer that he’s having trouble breathing.

The officer doesn’t budge, as another officer passively watches.

It’s apparent the man is in distress, as a passerby screams, “That’s bulls***, bro. You’re stopping his breathing right there, bro. Get him off the ground, bro,” adding the officer was “enjoying it.”

The man becomes motionless, an ambulance shows up and the man is taken to a hospital where he died.

Video below: www.facebook.com/100005733452916/videos/1425398217661280/

The footage, which was shared by bystander Darnella Frazier,

She said on Facebook that “the police killed him, bro, right in front of everybody,” the Washington Post reported.

“He was crying, telling them like, ‘I can’t breathe,’ and everything. They killed this man,” Frazier wrote.

Let’s wait for an autopsy before jumping to all kinds of conclusions. If the guy couldn’t breathe he wouldn’t be able to talk or moan at all. Given that this occurred in the 3700 Block of Chicago Ave S., in Minneapolis, it’s very possible that the guy might have died of a heart attack due to a crack OD and stress. That area is a hotbed for drug dealing, prostitution, assorted other crimes, and murders.

Actually, it's a good news story.

All the cops involved got home safely that night.

Police don’t do things without having a reason.

Stasi should be considered the ultimate manifestation of the LEFT and their campaign of tyranny.

That looks like murder. I can’t imagine the distress that man felt in his final moments.

When they say “no weapons” we’re deployed that is certainly not true. The officer used his body as a lethal weapon.

You have no idea how much weight the officer was putting on his neck.

It is a effective restdaint tool for a combatve subject.

If the man couldn't breathe he wouldn't be making any sounds.

He is obviohsly breathing and talking.

That man was dead when they picked him up and put him in the ambulance. Neither one of the cops in that video look t
like they’ve done a push up in a decade.

the co with the knee in the perp’s neck was very much enjoying himself — Placing his hand in his pocket so he could push down on his leg and have his full body weight fulcrumed against the man’s neck.

Minneapolis Police Department’s number is 612-673-3000.

I’m sure they would love your feedback.

I sense you offer a preliminary version of the Pantaleo defense, in the Garner case, that it was a prolonged but legal chokehold that killed the guy, a manuever that was somehow different than the illegal killer chokehold.

Never mind the fact that in each case the result was one dead guy, perhaps guilty of a misdemeanor. And one guy that eventually lets go of the unconscious/dead guy, stands up, takes the high fives from his peers, and then goes home to his family, regularly boasting of how dangerous his job is when he encounters momentarily belligerent but ultimately defenseless handcuffed people laying face down in the street.

I would argue that the location of the knee pressure is relevant if is anywhere in contact with the neck area of the perp after he is handcuffed and fully compliant.

It is not a non-factual “jump to conclusion” to conclude that continuing knee pressure to the neck AREA anywhere was not necessary to control the handcuffed perp for the length of time that is documented, and certainly after loss of consciousness, officer (or deputy) GlennB.

I just wish there was a better camera angle of the neck-kneeling, pencil-forearmed officer in action. Maybe the semi-erection he was sporting while inflicting continuing pain on the defenseless perp would have been visible.

First of all, we don’t know what killed this guy.

His treatment though was inexcusable.

LEOs say “if you’re talkin’, you’re breathin’”.

This is TRUE! If you “really” can’t breathe, you wouldn’t waste your breath complaining about it. Perps regularly CLAIM they can’t breathe, when they clearly can.

Early on in the video, the man is complaining about not being able to breathe while BREATHING! He talks several times in sentences showing me that he CAN breathe.

After several minutes, the man does stop talking and moving. This may have NOTHING to do with the officer’s knee on the guys neck. (Likely standard approved procedure).

Having said all that....

WHY did the officer CONTINUE to hold the perp down with his knee for such a long time? The guy was not at this point resisting.

As the bystanders (rightly) kept saying to “let him up”, “put him in the car”, etc. WHY DIDN’T they?

What possible reason at that point could there be for continuing to hold him down.

It very well may turn out that this guy died of a drug overdose and not from suffocation, but REGARDLESS once the man appeared to have become unconscious, emergency medical aid should have been administered by the officers on scene.

WHY DIDN’T THEY LET HIM UP?

This is sickening, I cannot believe all that I have seen police do in my lifetime.

Which just reinforces my long held belief. Stay as far away from police officers as possible. They are dangerous, have no legal duty to protect you in any way, and can take your freedom from you with only their word.

If I could trade all police “protection” for the right to justly defend myself, I would do so in a heartbeat.

So as you can probably tell, I will in no way be calling that number. My idea is to fly low, and keep my powder dry. Even though I hope your call to call is effective with others.

He was unresponsive for two and a half minutes before the ambulance arrived and the cop kept his knee on the man’s neck for all 150 seconds.

Breathing with difficulty. Until he couldn’t any more.

Did you watch the two and a half minutes after the man on the ground became unresponsive?

Cop kept his knee on his neck the entire time.

Here’s another defense.

Picked up from watching Democrats.
* * *

The police were distracted by the crowd.

Their efforts were diverted by having to force unruly citizens back onto the sidewalk.

They lost track of time, could not hear the perp., were concerned that the crowd might rush them, etc.

The videos were evidence, and the citizens illegally removed that evidence from the scene.

Perp died. Videos were posted. HIPAA violations.

Does the /s ever end?

Just wait; today’s /s = this evening’s Facts.

You are looking at 250+ pounds pushed down on a neck.

The dirty cops should face the same punishment. Put them in a garrote and let the relatives of the black man turn the vice.

Fair is fair!

If you don’t fully comply (comply to be defined by the cop) you will be beaten or restrained, even if you are in distress, or an old man/woman.

Something tells me that some cops ENJOY the right to restrain/kill a protesting citizen. Prove me wrong.
