BNJ Editorial June 12, 2017 Ever think why big lies are more believable than little ones?

Big lies have an inherent power to upset us, and trigger our control mechanism, one such control mechanism is fear. What are some of the big lies that have shaped American society?

To accommodate a lifestyle that handles so many undesirable outcomes we need lies if we are going to avoid accepting what we know instinctively to be true. We live in denial, so lies do an excellent job of excusing our failings, confirming our basest purposes, and avoiding anxiety about what may happen in the future to upset our lives. For example, people kill, but we would rather not deal with the truth and say we need gun control laws. We can then avoid the anxiety that comes with solving an extraordinarily complex problem by substituting a simple one. Too many guns cause violence so prevent gun ownership. It has something to do with the appeal of virtual reality.

It also has a lot to do with what Yuri Bezmenov, the KGB Press and Propaganda department defector said in his video. When he expressed concern that his targets would realize that he was lying to them about the benefits of communism and the shortcomings of freedom under capitalism, he was told “they will want to believe you.”

Evolution is an example of a BIG lie. No Creator God, no one to be accountable to.
