The Constitution Will Not Protect You From the TRACE Act

Congress is considering H.R. 6666, the “Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone Act” (“TRACE Act”), a bill by U.S. Representative Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) aimed at limiting the spread of COVID-19.

The bill ostensibly would achieve that goal by creating “mobile health units” to “conduct diagnostic testing . . . trace and monitor the contacts of infected individuals” and then “support the quarantine of such contacts”—all at the cost of $100 billion.

Rush says that “increased testing and contact tracing is the only way we will get back normal and safely reopen our economy.” Essentially, Rush’s position—which is echoed by the bulk of America’s political establishment—is that America should remain locked down until everyone is tested. In other words, until everyone is cleared by the government.

The TRACE Act, like so much of the government’s response to COVID-19, will be a giant waste of money that will do nothing to keep Americans healthy or safe. Instead, it will erode what remains of our constitutional freedoms—freedoms that have been all but washed away during the pandemic’s hysteria.

Typically when you hear the term “the government” you think of the federal government. This article claims “the government” is doing this bad thing or that bad thing. It does not, that I saw, point out that President Trump has asked the state governors to design and implement the reopening guidelines. So it’s not “the government” that’s doing these things. It’s the state governors that are doing these things.

A lot of the governor’s mandates have been found illegal by the courts. More cases are on the way.

The difference between the red states and blue states in designing and implementing guidelines is instructive.

people failing the test will be forcibly removed. that’s not in the bill you say? What are they going to do to enforce it - write tickets, issue fines?

The acronym is HIPAA which stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Forerunner to nobamacare.

Contact Tracers will only be hired after they pass rigorous physical test and display a willingness to obey orders without question. No need for fancy degrees, just brawn and blind obedience.

They will have nice uniforms with armbands for easy identification, but likely they will be wearing L4 hazmat suits so it will be hard to tell. They will also have unmarked, windowless, soundproofed vans that can only be opened with a special key. Testees who fail or are dragged out of their homes will ride in the back and be delivered to nondescript buildings with doors that only open from the outside.

Just like in Wuhan, China in January.

President Xi will be beaming with pride.

If all the would-be enforcers end up dead, does that make you easier to “trace”?

Some chose Lexington / Concord to make their statement, and those who would take my freedom and that of my family are now presenting me the ability to choose the place and time for mine. If that is my choice, then bring it on...

“stick a fork in US we are done”

Good Lord. The bill hasn’t even been passed — much less made its way to the Senate or to the President’s desk for CERTAIN veto — and you’re already ordering the funeral flowers?

I’m 74, lived a good life. Time I gave something back. I know that I can take more than one with me. Probably several or a couple of dozen. I don’t care anymore - that’s my advantage. Been buying guns and stockpiling ammo since I was 22.
Time has come.

“BTW, is there any indication that this would get past the Senate, and that Trump would sign such an abomination if it does?”

No and no.

This is the act that prevents you from getting information from any hospital about your nearest and dearest.

“I’m 74, lived a good life. Time I gave something back. I know that I can take more than one with me.”

Even a man or woman in their 90s can fire a weapon. Back when I had cable, I saw a program about a WW II sniper who, at the time of the program, was in his mid to upper 90s. His skill at hitting his target was undiminished.

Older Americans are not to be trifled with.

Or H1N1 or bird flu. And Ferguson predicted 150 million dead of that one.

Had the opportunity two nights ago to pull out the AR-10 with a Pulsar Thermion attached. It’s most likely better than anything LE around me has, so I Own The Night.

Congress is considering H.R. 6666, the “Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone Act” (“TRACE Act”)

So, because they added an extra 6, it's not the mark of the beast?

Revelation 13:16-18
[The second beast] required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead.
And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.
Wisdom is needed here. Let the one with understanding solve the meaning of the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666.

It doesn’t say anything about punishment actually.
