...In March 2020, during the Coronavirus outbreak, the Gates Foundation awarded a more than $79 million grant to Imperial College London. The Imperial College London model, spearheaded by team leader Neil Ferguson, projected 2.2 million American casualties. The disastrous model led to Elon Musk lambasting Ferguson, who resigned as an adviser to the British government when he was caught flaunting the very lockdown that his numbers inspired. Imperial College London admits on its website that its research on arboviruses, which includes work on vaccine projections undertaken by Neil Ferguson himself is Gates-funded, stating, Our research is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the US National Institutes of Health and the MRC. ...

I wonder if the same money used to fund Imperial Colleges failed model, also funded Neil Fergusons elopement with his new squeeze? Job? Who needs that when youve become independently wealthy!
Cuing the Gates defenders on FR!
Github Source Code Repository CovidSim.cpp Just look at the spagetthi nature of this.
Keep going through the code in the project it's one bad coding practice after another. Covid-19 Simulator
Nobody ever vetted this code. How do you know if improvements introduce runtime regressions? Oh thats right you don't because there aren't any tests and they use all sorts of custom algorithms rather than the stl that was available.
I spent my morning reading this - This looks like somebodies first attempt to write a program and they just keep adding. There is no real design, no comprehensive testing suite for the acceptance level functional requirements.
This is a shit piece of code those who relied on this are extremely culpable.
Everything Gates does (just like Common Core) is crap.
The model showed what he wanted it to show. He got the result he wanted -shut down.
What I find funny is the people who lived in Apple Mac world for 30 years who suddenly think Bill Gates is the savior of the world.
People who pointed out all the virus problems with his windows products now all want his vaccine and they will even beta test it.
Computer science is not my area— not in the least.
Thankfully, there are enough people in this world who know how to code, at one level or another, who can intelligently critique Ferguson’s work and can write letters to the editor about it (citing their own credentials), post comments on the FaceBook or NextDoor pages, etc.
Gates and his shed-male are the new Epstein.
Q: Why does Bill Gates have a perpetual smug look on his face?
A: Because making money by selling software is child’s play compared to making Billion$$ selling vaccines
PLUS getting to eliminate Billions of people off the planet!
Fauci & Birx are well paid $$ for their help!
i think the South Sea Islanders got more out of their life sized model airports and planes.
Total fail, by the wicked, evil Gates Foundation.
So Bill Gates had the responsibility to know that Ferguson’s software was full of bugs. If did didn’t know, he should resign in disgrace from his foundation.
Since he is not doing that, it looks a lot like those were not bugs, but intended features.
He never noticed Windows from first Version to Ten was full of bugs. Why should he start now?
Actually I have to say I am quite pleased with 10. Of course he was long gone by then!
“What I find funny is the people who lived in Apple Mac world for 30 years who suddenly think Bill Gates is the savior of the world.”
I’m not one of them. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the Apple world 20 years ago because I needed certain audio software to do my job. I used to get a lot of the “unhappy Mac face” at first. Then about 15 years ago after my umpteenth BSoD and a full day of loading Windows from scratch I went full Apple. So glad. I hate Bill Gates.
More money than sense = disaster forAmerica.
Who says it failed? Looks like it did everything gates wanted it to.
Ferguson has been repeatedly, wildly off.

The article is an interesting read. What major “coinkydinks”.
