Wow, that’s pretty effing bad. Even many Dimms are outraged by her comments based on Twitter feedback. This is a horrible law. Only the bleeping unions like this because they think they’ll be able to unionize Uber and Lyft drivers or something. This state deserves everything that happens to it.

I’m an independent contractor and I oppose AB5. If you want the benefits of a full-time employee get a full-time job. Don’t take away our flexibility in an attempt to make one size fit all.

I have a different view of this. All those freelancers who write for left wing outlets are most likely liberals. But they have been thrown out of work by other liberals who have demonstrated they don’t care what damage they do or to whom they do it. Will all those (including workers in states locked down in what seems an increasingly meaningless effort) continue to vote for Democrats? I suspect they are seeing the light and will hold their nose and vote for conservatives. (I am assuming there is a conservative left in California. If so, he probably wears a removable ponytail as protective coloration.)
She reminds me of the law librarian in a Streets Of SF episode who was a tad snobbish but apparently didn’t like radical (liberal) causes.
I’d prefer hanging with the librarian.
