Listening to a hardcore 70s movie score - Supercops.

I saw the movie recently on TCM

Even better on TCM from last week: “Shaft” with Richard Roundtree, 1971.

The music was FABULOUS, and the movie was a total “blast from the past.” I loved it!

An old BBC radio play.

Alistair MacLean’s HMS Ulysses
https://archive.org/details/HMSUlyssesAM/Chapter01.mp3

“The novel that launched the astonishing career of one of the 20th century’s greatest writers of action and suspense, Alistair MacLean. An acclaimed classic of heroism and the sea in World War II.

The story of men who rose to heroism, and then to something greater, HMS Ulysses takes its place alongside The Caine Mutiny and The Cruel Sea as one of the classic novels of the navy at war.

It is the compelling story of Convoy FR77 to Murmansk – a voyage that pushes men to the limits of human endurance, crippled by enemy attack and the bitter cold of the Arctic.”

You got that right. That was back when SXSW already famous.

I remember when you could walk into any bar on a Friday or Saturday night and listen to the best music LIVE. Take your pick of over a dozen acts. I was very fortunate that my girlfriend was drop-dead gorgeous and was a back-up dancer for one of the clubs. That gave me a pass to get into any club.

I think this was shot in Austin, these guys are incredibly talented

Thanks all, more to come! I'm going to check the mailbox and maybe hit the store, run from Whitmer's mask stormtroopers, and settle backin here, because it's sunny but coooool outside.

There are another twenty, thirty or more of F&F, going back about ten years, some of their covers are much more recent material because I have no idea what the originals are. :^)

Finishing up a couple books about the Civil War.

Listening mostly to Brahms — little bit of everything, including the string quintets, the two orchestral serenades, and the piano concertos.

good luck. Got lots of family in Whitmer’s commie paradise. One of my kids got called back to work today. He’s very excited.

He’s a trucker for a lumber dealer.
