I've always wanted to use my body as part of a scientific experiment. Oh, and in case you're wondering, later I suffered NO hangover nor any other bad side effects other than that night drinking a lot more water than usual. Possibly dehydration.

Not drinking to excess prevents drunkenness every time.

Same as giving coffee to a drunk.
You end up with a wide awake drunk.

"....I noticed that I never felt drunk despite drinking heavily..." What fun is that? If you could get drunk but have no hangover that would be a tie breaker!😎

If you were really smart, you would have applied for a federal grant to fund the study.

I never felt drunk despite drinking heavily. So I got to wondering whether eating ginger candy will prevent drunkenness. Sounds like a very bad idea and a costly waist of money
I decided to test this idea out by eating ginger candy followed by drinking 375 ml of Tequila straight.
I must remind you old boy that there is a special place in hell for people who wast good Tequila

Donno about drunk prevention and ginger candy, but eating raw ginger can prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
It works by keeping all possible transmission “sources” far out of reach due to the stench.
Mix with raw garlic and there’s your automatic social distancing device.
