A former Obama administration CDC director called out the stark socioeconomic and racial inequities in President Donald Trumps push to rapidly reopen the economy, as poor and minorities communities continue to suffer disproportionately from the coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Richard Besser, who was acting head of the nations disease control agency during the early part of President Barack Obamas first term, spoke with CNNs Anderson Cooper on Tuesday. During the conversation, he highlighted the grim outcome that will likely result from a premature relaxation of shelter-in-place rules. Bessers comments came in the wake of numerous states opening up business and travel and news reports that the White House could soon be standing down the coronavirus task force in an apparent declaration of victory over an outbreak that still sees thousands of Americans dying every day.

can the demtards get any more racially cliche?
same ol same ol bs
I suspect the H-1Bs from India are going to do wonderfully. It’s unfortunate Trump’s EO didn’t include sending a lot of them packing.
What political party runs those oppressed minority neighborhoods?
The first one to mention race is the racist.
Despite draconian lockdowns in states/cities with the most minorities.
During the conversation, he highlighted the grim outcome that will likely result from a premature relaxation of shelter-in-place rules.
As against the grim outcomes that we are now having with the current lockdowns?
It ain't the lily white libs with multiple degrees living in cities., who can telecommute because of fossil fuels that transport their home deliveries while they get direct deposit.
No...the hurt unemployed are the wait staff, kitchen staff, bartenders, service workers and other "nonessential" people about whom YOU don't care if they kill themselves due to financial stresses...all caused by your "flatten the curve" hysteria. And I don't play the race card, but I bet there are fewer whites getting totaled than blacks.
You wanna flatten a curve, you jack wagon? I'll give you a curve.
RinoPuff race-baiting again.
That’s great, and since you can identify as whatever you want, everyone can do well. Problem solved.
“A former Obama administration CDC director called out the stark socioeconomic and racial inequities in President Donald Trumps push to rapidly reopen the economy, as poor and minorities communities continue to suffer disproportionately from the coronavirus pandemic.”
So the economy should stay closed down because minorities are suffering from the pandemic?? That makes no sense at all.
Well there’s only one solution. Send $10 trillion to anybody who is not white or not doing well. Whitey can afford it.
“So the economy should stay closed down because minorities are suffering from the pandemic??”
Actually, the economy should stay shut down because opening it up benefits whitey. Because rona is racist. And because Trump. And because Biden can’t find his butt with both hands.
If You Have Money and Youre White, You Can Do Well
What if you are not white and have money like Beyonce and JZ? Can they do well?
He’ll be running for a Democrat political office or another appointment, soon.
It’s always about race because racial tension and manipulation gives Democrats their power.
Some Democrat asshole gets interviewed like it is news once an hour it seems.
So, if you are black and have money you’re just SOL right?
How about yellow, like an Asian?
How about brown like an indian or something else?
Nope?
Just whites with money huh? Well OK then. I’m good to go. Have a great time with that.
Under Trump is you are black and didnt have money you could do well, too.
That was my response exactly.
What...minorities are being hit hardest, so we need to keep things shut down longer to impact them harder?
RACIST!
