Coronavirus Death Counts Reported by Media Outpace Actual Deaths Reported Per CDC By Nearly 29,000

What is going on? The reporting in the media of the China coronavirus is just plain horrible.

The media is reporting massive death counts from the China coronavirus. These counts are coming from a couple of sources, one of which is the Worldometer coronavirus website. The death counts on these sites and in the media are over reporting the number of China coronavirus deaths by 62% when compared to the data at the CDC website.

As of April 25, 2020, the CDC reported that 33,513 Americans died from the China coronavirus. Note that their number includes confirmed or presumed to be COVID-19 deaths.

And here is the CDC data from Friday May 1 on US Coronavirus deaths.

Notice that according to the CDC the Coronavirus deaths reached a peak the week of April 18th.

I’m well aware of the CDC “lag times” but this isn’t that, so stop with that excuse for these numbers.

They’ve separated out other illnesses that were the actual causes of deaths and now the mortality rate is half of what it was last week.

It’s been nothing but a scam. pic.twitter.com/UR3AWvHMjG

The Worldometer website shows 54,269 corononvirus deaths as of April 25th. And 62,262 US deaths on May 2nd.

This amount is 62% greater than the amount reported by the CDC:

In addition, according to the CDC, there were no deaths confirmed or assumed to be COVID-19 deaths until the end of February 2020. As of April 25th, the number of China coronavirus deaths appears to be decreasing:

Also, according to the CDC:

* less than 1% of all China coronavirus deaths occur in those younger than age 35
* less than 3% of all of the China coronavirus deaths occur for individuals younger than age 45
* nearly 60% of all deaths are age 65 and older

Based on this data, the average person under the age of 65 has very little to be concerned about with the China coronavirus.

The old and sick are at risk.

Yep. Who can really be surprised at how horrible our media has become, yet despite all their obvious propaganda they still wield enormous power in our nation.

Which proves that the real death numbers are similar to flu deaths..notice no one is dying from heart attacks, strokes, why is that..have heart attacks been cured, same with strokes..or are those deaths being counted as corona deaths..heck I wouldnt be surprised if the lady in SC who was eaten by an alligator yesterday isnt gonna be counted as a corona death

It would be interesting to see 2018/2019/2020 total deaths by cause and see if they merely shifted categories to create a story or if there was an actual increase in deaths.

I saw somewhere that death totals from all causes are not higher than usual this year.

It would be useful if you could recall the source of this information.

“CDC estimates that influenza was associated with 45 million illnesses, 21 million medical visits, 810,000 hospitalizations, and 61,000 deaths during the 2017–2018 influenza season.”

From this site:
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden-averted/2017-2018.htm

So, COVID-19 has killed 33,000 this year (according to the CDC) and the flu killed 61,000 in 2017-2018 (according to the CDC). But I guess the good news is that we trashed the economy and threw 20 million people out of work.

Well, using the CDC figures, we could also say that 2020-21 is not halfway through yet. Let’s hope and pray that 33,000 ( as per CDC ) flattish as we reach December 2020.

Praying for a clean sweep of the corrupt media. . .journalists, commentators, etc. We need to seek Truth from the Lord God Almighty. It’s a shame that most people don’t know that He IS in charge of all things!

Can anyone clearly explain what the point of this article is? Its complaining about worldmeters, CDC lag, and the age distribution all at the same time. As if having a new disease that seriously affects the old and sick is not a big deal.

The big deal is that almost no one died from influenza this year. We have a cure for the flu now.

They aren't saying the virus isn't deadlier than the flu. They are saying that hospitalizations per population are currently equivalent to the highest flu seasons of the last few years. (2017 was the worst flu season in 40 years).

45 million flu infections in 2017 vs 1 million covid infections in 2020. That difference is what is keeping hospitalizations the same.

Lock downs have kept the hospitalizations down. But the hospitalizations are still growing, so that CDC statement may not continue to hold.

Case fatality rates and Infection fatality rates are still much higher than the flu. But not as many people have been infected with COVID.

"According to an estimate by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there were approximately 45 million cases of the flu in the United States during the 2017-2018 influenza season, resulting in an estimated 810,000 flu-associated hospitalizations and an estimated 61,000 flu-associated deaths.Feb 26, 2020"

I don’t believe the CDC, and I don’t believe the media.

Neither of them speaks the truth about anything.
