4 family members and 2 co workers.
I wish I knew! I “might have” BEFORE the pandemic started. Wife also got what I had. She had it much worse, and only just completely recovered.
Not necessarily typical COVID-19 symptoms, but I wonder. If I could be tested for antibodies I would do so.
More and more evidence of it being here MUCH earlier. It also may have been a milder strain at first. That could explain why it went unnoticed.
So sorry to hear that AU, my prayers for you and your extended family.
Throughout all of this, Ive seen them blaming the virus for the deaths, but every case that honestly gave details always stated there was a precondition.
Which tells me that this virus is NOT deadly. However, like a common cold or flu or measles, chicken pox, etc... this virus can worsen a potential deadly condition that one already has.
Am I way off base here?
Because if Im not, WHY on earth dont we shut everything down period?
The human race has lived and died with every sickness ever known to man. Yet, theyre acting like THIS is the one that will cause the extinction of mankind. I believe its a bunch of nonsense. And VERY politically motivated.
So sorry to hear that.
I’d actually really like an antibody test. I’m betting I got it in November. That’s when I got a nasty bit of con-crud, and the person I caught it from had just done 3 conventions in quick succession in CA.
I think Kentucky Governor Comrade Beshear plans to open up on May 15. I’m not sure what year though.
I’m reading more and more stories that people leaving NYC are now planning on not going back. What do you think you will do?
Nor I. I haven’t worn a mask, and go to work at the office every day.
I’m so sorry for your loss.
Plenty of ChiCom victims and I know some who used the HCQ combination therapy and it saved their life.
I didn’t venture to look.
My cooking is better than most restaurants.
So sorry to hear about losing your mom, TG. That’s rough. My mom passed at 83 about ten years ago and also suffered dementia in her last few years. That was really hard to watch and deal with. In the end, she died from the generic “failure to thrive.” She just didn’t want to eat any more and didn’t want a feeding tube.
Not sure. In mid-February, I had a serious Gi infection, which was cleared up with antibiotics related to antimalarials. Turns out a lot of the “asymptomatic” cases out of China were GI-related. And I had toes scabbing on my toe knuckles and some wierd spots that match several of the Covid toes they’re talking about now, but I don’t even remember if that coincided with the GI infection or not.
No-one I know locally has had Covid-19, but my hometown was a hotspot. An old lady I knew my whole life died, and the parish priests and several other parishioners had it.
I met the one guy in my town in southern NH who said he had it in February. He never had any symptoms. However, he had was tested and confirmed he had it because he is an airline pilot. He had to stay at home for 2 weeks and was retested.
Thank you, both...
LOL!
Antibody/serology tests? Not “currently have COVID” tests? I guess N.Y. state is trying to get a handle on the “denominator” or see how close to “herd immunity” they are with antibody tests. Your family will be part of the stats! ;-)
No widespread antibody testing out here in the West...just 2 small studies in San Jose and L.A..
My Dallas daughter and her doctor thought she had it after flying to visit us in San Jose at the end of February. She was sick for a good 3 weeks in March.
She had the antibody test and it came back negative.
