We are currently living through possibly the worst medical treatment plan in modern history.
In 2009 the Swine Flu or H1N1 influenza swept across the United States. There were at least 12,469 deaths across the US and up to 575,000 deaths worldwide.
80% of H1N1 victims were age 65 or UNDER. These are the prime years and most productive years in one’s lifetime.
In 2020 the Wuhan Virus or novel coronavirus swept across the United States.
So far 50,000 Americans have died and 890,000 have tested positive for the disease. In study after study the vast majority of the deaths are those people 60 and over.
In New York 84% of the victims are over 60. 65% are over 70.
99% of the deaths in Italy were those over 60.
If you are young and healthy your chances in dying from coronavirus are much lower than 1%.
And yet the so-called “experts” shut down and destroyed the economy.
This makes no sense!
In fact it may end up that the lockdown was the absolute wrong decision and prevented herd immunity that will SAVE the seniors.
Loneliness is also pretty big killer among the elderly. Gitten old ain't fer sissies!!!

Biden should take ownership of Barry’s non response to Swine Flu and run on it. The country would have been a hell of a lot better off following Obama’s lead on the Wuhan flu.
first human trials were in late September/early October, but it was a few more months before they rolled it out in any quantity. So maybe 9 or 10 months to hospitals/pharmacies and longer to the doctor’s office?

With common sense procedures in place, isolation doesn’t have to mean without human contact and without family.
There just has to be extra precautions when interacting with the older people.
My husband is late sixties with cardiomyopathy and high blood pressure. He’s definitely high risk. We have to be very careful about the kids coming around him but they would not want to be kept from seeing him and he needs them too.
I realize it’s complicated, but the people who can work need to get back to it.

I’m not advocating for the government to continue this mandatory lock down. I am ready to go back to work.
I’m in the camp that believes that adults in America are responsible for their own safety and health. We need to take care of our older people and our younger people using common sense and extra precautions.
The 2009 H1N1 pandemic had one of the lowest fatality rates of any influenza in recent years. The only reason anyone payed attention to it was the fact that it was killing young people instead of old. Had it killed old people, even 2 or 3 times as many, no one would have even heard of it. Granted, the death of a person who has not lived a full life IS more tragic than that of someone who has. But 2009 is a poor comparison, as we ignore flu seasons that only kill old people even more than we did H1N1.

This is a millennia pandemic where hundred percent safety is required and everyone needs a safety trophy. At the price of the economy and their continued fear.
I try to explain to some how bad it was with the MULTIPLE virus in America ten years ago and I get the WTF are you talking about look. Half this country is totally brain dead. The left knows it. This is why they are going full tilt.

I hate the lockdowns as much as anyone and was ranting and railing about it early on....but now it’s just crying over spilt milk - especially with all the hindsight crap...as the “other side” hammers that the President did too little too late, our side is Hell-bent on looking back to say he did too much too fast....we’re putting him in a vise and helping the other side as this once-in-a-lifetime unique situation races towards November with the constant water under the bridge howling...
