Open Thread: 2020 NFL Draft 2nd and 3rd Rounds
NFL.com ^ | April 24, 2020 | Me

Posted on 04/24/2020 12:45:33 PM PDT by C19fan

The talk of the first round was Green Bay drafting Utah State QB Jordan Love. I was listening to sports radio and the Packers during the Rogers era has used their first round pick for an offensive player once: OL Brian Bulaga. Among some notable names still available: QB: Jalen Hurts, Jacob Eason, and Janke Fromm. (Given Fromm's lack of physical tools he is more likely a Day 3 pick) RB: D'Andre Swift, JK Dobbins, Jonathan Taylor WR: Michael Pittman, Tee Higgins, Denzel Mims, Chase Claypool, and Laviska Shenault

DB: Grant Delpit

Despite going 12-4 and making it the NFC Championship, GB has some (IMHO) glaring holes that need to be addressed.

OL, LB and WR

Many of us Steelers fans are clamoring for a speedy WR or running back. But I think the boring pick of a guard or center is probably the best pick. The team is awfully thin on the o-line right now with two guards having left via retirement or free agency.

I still remember the NFL, but I’m pretty old.

I’m hoping my Cowboys can get their hands on a safety with Round 2. CD was a great swipe despite their defensive needs.

A prototypical SS or DE would be a draft maker regardless of what happens the rest of the way.

Jets are making total sense.

Pat’s, Chiefs ... not so much
GB still needs a guy who can catch a pass

The Eagles, who have $100MM+ invested in Carson Wentz, burn their second round pick on QB Jalen Hurts.

Falcons should have picked Jake Fromm, but I guess they intend to stick with shitty @ss Matt Ryan.
