We are in the midst of an event that is completely unique in the history of our country, and as far as I can tell, in the history of the world: namely, the intentional suppression by governments (in the U.S., both federal and states) of a very large percentage of economic activity, in an effort to control a dangerous disease...Surely this kind of devastating government response would not be undertaken unless this disease represented a true crisis, and unless there was also solid evidence that the economic suppression would quickly end the crisis. But how do you distinguish what constitutes a “crisis” that warrants such a drastic response, versus something that is part of the normal and ongoing pain of human existence? And even if this is a bona fide crisis, why do we think that suppression of economic activity will improve the situation?...

Mid February, those paying attention had a decision to make. Honest assessment by many concluded we faced millions of deaths if drastic action wasn’t taken. Drastic action was taken, millions of deaths didn’t happen; maybe crisis averted, maybe no crisis ... which kind of wrong would you rather be?
Governments followed from the front. People were shutting society down.
I have suspected all along that this Virus black swan event is a Globalist/socialist biological attack , The Deep State is in on it up to their necks. I am afraid Fauci is a seditious deep state/NWO operative
I don’t know if it works that way. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes, but is it spread person to person? How many viruses are spread by both people and mosquitoes?

I’m getting there myself. Too many coincidences.
Big one: February was the month where we needed data desperately, to measure the spread and rate of spread. When we could have quarantined areas and/or facilities. Old folks homes, NYC, whatever. But without that data, right then, they were flying blind and had to assume worts case. Especially with horribly wrong models (another coincidence).
We had no data in February because of ONE GUY at the CDC, who invented an unneeded new test (took extra 2 weeks), and they managed to contaminate the new reagent with the virus, and sent them out. False positives made the tests useless. 5 weeks lost, when we needed it the most.
Etc.
I would like someone to ask Dr. Doom and the Scarf a question. The IHME model shows an expected 65+K death as of Aug 4th, if we reopen the country how many additional death would you expect in that time frame? From there we can ask the real question which is how many death are acceptable to save the country from a total economic meltdown into a 1930’s type depression because that’s where we are headed.
We’ve been in a lock down for 6 weeks with people pushing for it to be extended for who knows how long. During that time 48K people have died so the lock down has not stopped people from dying it’s just slowed the rate. So what is the acceptable number of dead bodies to save the country?
