In fact, the 2nd Amendment begins with a recognition of the universal duty to defend the country: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State...” The “militia” was defined as every able-bodied man capable of bearing arms: “That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state...” — Virginia Declaration of Rights.

It’s not really the instant laws but the instant laws made by people who don’t have the constitutional right to make laws. The Governors.
Many of them are engaged in capricious extra Constitutional actions and calling them laws.
The Maryland Constitution states that the Governor cannot do the work of the legislature and Vice Versa. The legislature makes the laws and the Governor signs them and enforces them. Our legislature is not in session. When they were in session, they were also breaking the state Constitution. Article 21 Section 2 says that at no time are the doors to the chamber to be shut unless in instances requiring secrecy.
Yet, they shut the entire chamber down to any visitors for several weeks due to the virus. At which point of course, the overwhelmingly democratic legislature enacted a whole slew of major tax increases as the nation was spiraling into chaos.
