There were 1,300 direct flights to 17 cities before President Trump’s travel restrictions. Since then, nearly 40,000 Americans and other authorized travelers have made the trip.
Since Chinese officials disclosed the outbreak of a mysterious pneumonialike illness to international health officials on New Year’s Eve, at least 430,000 people have arrived in the United States on direct flights from China, including nearly 40,000 in the two months after President Trump imposed restrictions on such travel, according to an analysis of data collected in both countries.
Of course, this travel ban was labeled as racists by the liberals and the mainstream media.
But where is the outrage now when Chinese business prohibits foreigners and targets black minorities especially African-Americans.
Some Africans in the commercial hub have reported being evicted or discriminated against amid coronavirus fears. And a U.S. Embassy security alert on Saturday said that “police ordered bars and restaurants not to serve clients who appear to be of African origin,” and local officials have launched mandatory testing and self-quarantine for “anyone with ‘African contacts.’”
But the racism didn’t stop there.
A number of African Ambassadors to China have contacted the Chinese Ministry of foreign affairs to officially protest against the wave of violent attacks on black people whom the Chinese suspect carry the coronavirus!!

That’s in response to a rise in virus infections in Guangzhou, the U.S. said, adding that “African-Americans have also reported that some businesses and hotels refuse to do business with them.” The U.S. statement is titled “Discrimination against African-Americans in Guangzhou.”

Photos from southern China being posted on Chinese social media show businesses & even whole towns prohibiting entry of “foreigners” because of the coronavirus. Some signs are more specific.

Liberals in the West assume anti-racism as codified in laws & norms here is the norm elsewhere. In most of non-Western world, racism has no stigma. Our academics created an ideology that makes racism synonymous to whiteness, thus robbing humanity tools to tackle this human condition.

This article seems to have morphed from being about Chinese flying into the United States to being about discrimination against African-Americans in China. Can we go back to the first part of the article? Just why and how did 40,000 Chinese fly into this country. “Directly” in violation of the travel ban?
