Another protest happening outside the Ohio Statehouse today. Protestors once again upset with Gov. Mike DeWine and Dr. ..Amy Acton’s actions during the “COVID19 pandemic”. This time calling for DeWine’s immediate resignation and for restoring their basic human right guaranteed to the people in our constitution.
Crowds could be heard outside the Ohio Statehouse on Monday during Gov. Mike DeWine’s daily press conference on the coronavirus pandemic yelling “Re-open Ohio!” and “OH-IO, Acton’s got to go!”, referring to Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton.

Ackison then used a megaphone to deliver a speech in which she called DeWine and Acton “tyrants.”
“This is our republic! These men and women are tyrants! My husband and my son were confronted by the police last week for simply trying to make a living, all the while these politicians are being paid from our tax dollars! They aren’t suffering! We are suffering! This is an uprising! Stand up, demand answers! They’re not showing you the data, they aren’t showing you the facts, they are using tyranny, they are using fear tactics! Enough is enough! This is our damn republic! No more!” Ackison shouted from the steps outside of the statehouse.
Ackison’s speech was followed by chants of “Show us the data!”

Love it love it! These are heroic Patriots.
We have news for the tyrants. America will open, with or without them. Any lockdown tyranny orders after then will be defied. It’s just that simple. This is a FREE country, even if the clueless Dems disagree.

If patriots were making sure that their children are being taught about our constitutionally enumerated rights as constitutional lawmakers had intended for those protections to be understood, then their children would be able to explain the following reasonable limits of constitutional protections to their parents.

To begin with, the Founding States had originally decided that the states did not have to respect the rights expressly protected by the Bill of Rights. The states had obligated only the feds to respect those rights.
So the original limited scope of the Bill of Rights is our first hint that the Constitution wasn't intended to guarantee basic enumerated rights 24/7.
It wasn’t until the states ratified the post-Civil War 14th Amendment (14A) that the states obligated themselves to likewise respect constitutionally enumerated personal protections.
"14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. Also regarding basic rights, regardless what FDR’s anti-religious expression activist justices (eg. Justice Hugo Black) wanted everybody to believe about their “Hollywood” remake of "atheist" Thomas Jefferson and his “wall of separation” for example, the real Jefferson had explained that the states had reserved government power to regulate our basic freedoms regardless that they had prohibited the feds from having such powers.

Resolved that it is true as a general principle and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the constitution that -the powers not delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively or to the people-: and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, & were reserved, to the states or the people: that thus was manifested their determination to retain to themselves the right of judging how far the licentiousness of speech and of the press may be abridged without lessening their useful freedom, and how far those abuses which cannot be separated from their use should be tolerated rather than the use be destroyed [emphasis added]; . . . “ - Thomas Jefferson, Kentucky Resolutions, 1798.
In fact, regardless that Jefferson was the main author of the Declaration of Independence which famously mentions “inalienable rights,” Jefferson later clarified that in troubled times those rights may be appropriately temporarily limited.
"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen: but it is not the highest. the [sic] laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. to [sic] lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law, would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property & all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means [emphasis added]." —Thomas Jefferson to John B. Colvin, 20 September 1810.

Based on Jefferson's uncommon common sense, insisting on the absolute right to free speech, for example, in times of war may ultimately leave you with no other way to express yourself than to raise a white flag to surrender to the enemy.
Think as freedoms temporarily lost in times of trouble being resurrected as broader freedoms when oppression has passed.

Just curious, what is the purpose of the "Blog" forum that this is posted under? I've been here a week or two and can't for the life of me figure out what all the angst is about when someone posts in the Blog/Personal forum.

Oh, you just made it up.
Which is what most bloggers do, when they're not plagiarizing, stealing content, or digging up crap off of Twitter. Or excerpting to get clicks.
There are actually good blogs, with original content. but most are just a waste of Jim's bandwidth, and make Free Republic look bad.
